How to create a bitcoin mining pool

I wish to mine bitcoin with my friends, I have a mac, And I have only so far been able to mine through my CPU. Might someone assist me?

There are a few open source mining pool softwares, check out pushpool, you also need a server to do all the connecting and strong internet access. Also you shouldnt use your CPU for mining, it is not cost-efficient, maybe you can use your GPU.

yeah, don't bother setting up a pool until you're pulling like at least 100Mhash/s each. that's my advice.
