The domain bitc-e.com was recently sold for $1k on a hacking forum, and is now setup as a phishing domain.  It was sold by poutine, responsible for stealing tens if not hundreds of thousands from people with bitcoins.  Here is a thread where bitbully chronicles the theft of his coins. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=173227.0

He also owns blockchain.com and has that for sale so watch out for it too.

I originally posted this in the newbie section, but now I can post here so I did.

I see that after posting this thread the new domain owner parked the domain so it is dormant for now, but watch out nobody pays 1k to park a domain

Poutine have earned more than 20k from stolen bitcoins, he's still stealing more.
I guess he's spreading javadriveby's here.

Before the domain was parked it was just a straight phishing site, no java drive by.

Poutine was fond of java drive bys but it seems that its new owner, xflat, prefers phishing sites.

Watch out.

indeed after looking at this the site has nothing up to make it a phishing site.. What's your proof?

Just because it's a parked domain doesn't mean it wasn't used maliciously.

In case the link goes dead:

PoutineCoutou a/k/a Poutine from HackForums has been known to hack MTGox and Bitcoin related accounts and try and sell the coins on. I know this personally because one of the members who was hacked contacted me by tracing the travel of the Bitcoins through the blockchain. My address for BTC exchanges is public, I have nothing to hide so I see no reason to keep it secret. The blockchain showed proof of the coins travelling from the hacked MTGox account, to a online wallet and then to me.

Now, what makes you think Poutine who is known to target Bitcoin users hasn't brought this incorrectly spelled domain for malicious use? Maybe he's realised that people are catching on and has just parked the domain to get money from it or trying to sell the domain off? He's done it before, what makes you think he won't do it again?
