Once again my announce to community.

Dear pool owhers and miners! Our project network is going to move to a new version, to support segwit features. Without this features our network stays slow on operations, and will not have an ability to integrate new features in future, like atomic swaps, etc. You can read about segwit in other resources. But, most of pools uses an old version of wallet for mining. This prevents network from switching to a new version. Pools have no contacts to communicate, about notifying them. As I know, only pool pool.uralscoin.info uses new version. It's not my dev's pool - I only put DNS record for it, so I have a contact with pool owner. Other pools did not respond on my PM's, so only way to notify the "block creators" - is miners. Using/creating pools with new version network gets it's new features. Staying on old pools - is your vote to leave an old version.

Our team plans to switch into a new version before block 100,000. If this not happens - network will be forked. So, dev team goes to use new network features, but if someone likes it's old version - may stay with it.

How can you determine, which version is used by your pool ? You need a new wallet GUI version - it is compatible with old blocks too. So, look at your pool the numbers of last mined blocks. Then open debug.log file, at the end of it - and find records abount last found blocks.

2018-06-19 09:00:50 UpdateTip: new best=000000000c8940b05f6901d7edb9115bf20109855e691559474064bda260f646 height=89408 version=0x00000003 log2_work=52.075719 tx=143671 date='2018-06-19 09:00:16' progress=0.999527 cache=0.0MiB(73tx)

version=0x00000003 means that pool uses old version of wallet to mine.

Hy,

on https://Miner-Control.de you can mine URALS, too.

BUT HERE, you can grap more coins, when you make this pool to a Masternode Pool!

We are only left 49,569 URALS to make this pool to a masternode.
All Masternode Rewards, goes to the miners!!

So send a few coins to uRhwgfYwzJ9J4rJvtcQcwgSoX8SWWQXzzk
We have now 431 URALS, from me, the owner, mined.

You dont believe me?
SEE ARHM (Archimed) coin!

https://miner-control.de/site/block?id=2041
The 27 reward blocks are Masternode blocks Wink

And here you can see the payout to a miner: https://miner-control.de/explorer/2041?txid=32acd9c8c0789107c8c7e7b852087549346c9cf62ac98d7b4e561e549514b12f

Did anyone knows how to contact bigmine.org ? There is no answers in PM, no contacts on the pool. This pool is misconfigured for a long time, and uses an old daemon version. Any contacts is highly appreciated.

Pre-release 1.1.0.14 was published.
Changes:
- segwit activation moved from block #100,000 to #92,000. This will occur next week. Pools and miners update is mandatory.

Have some troubles with old version pools, it's hashrate reaches 25% of network power. If problem will not be solved until block #95,000 - probably, the hard-fork will be a solution.

Which changes of the hardfork?
Do I have to swap my coins?

There is no need to swap coins right now. Hard fork will be enabled, if "unresponsive" pools (bigmine.org) will generate high hashrate of old version blocks, which prevents switching to segwit.

If there will be a decision about hard-fork, community will be notified in all possible ways, so don't worry. Don't forget to update desktop and masternode clients to a latest version.

With your latest thread, I have clearer ideas on what will happen with Uralscoin network, hardfork and no swap at all.
Which are the most important changes of the fork?
[/quote]

There is no need in hard-fork right now. Soft-forks partially applied, segwit support is enabled, but network can't enable it - there is no consensus in mining blocks. One of the biggest pools uses old version, this prevents network switching to a new version. So, the safe way is to make changes in protocol, to disconnect old clients (v. 1.0.0.x). If pool owner notice this changes - there will be updates, and everything may be ok, no fork wil needed. But, if pool owner wish to stay using old version - his chain will live on its own, but users with new wallets will not see his chain. But some miners will get a trouble, mining blocks in "dead" chain. That's why I wrote to miners, not to use bigmine - it makes a huga hashrate, but has a wrong configured pool, and an old version. I wonder why miners don't use another pools ? zergpool ? aikapool ? Or miners don't read this thread, no discord threads, telegram ?

right now I see 2 strange pools - miner-control.de and bigmine.org. What's wrong:
- miner-control - amount of coins, payed to miners - 30/block. While the network with masternodes, 10 coins goes to masternode holders, and 40 divides between miners. Why 30 ? https://miner-control.de/site/block?id=1996
- bigmine.org - amount, payed to mines - 40, seems good, BUT! - using misconfiguration of getblock template - pool owner gets 10 coins, which must go to masternode holders, to himself. https://bigmine.org/coins/?id=1849 Mined - 50, reward - 40.

As of network is decentralized - there is no mechanisms to block such nodes. They get it's profit due to miners. If miners supports this - it's their own choice.

I told about hard-fork, because if nothing changes with this situation in nearest future - the PoW may be changed to PoS, to not depend on miners.

I wish, that miners will make a correct choice.

And, please, read announces in main thread, maybe once a week.
