What is this Hardfork?
The hardfork is the segwit2x attack on the network

Why is everyone afraid of it?
This attack is one of the biggest ever on bitcoin with never seen before of actors involved. The USG is really pushing this one far with Coinbase, Xapo, Bitpay, Jeff Garzik from Bloq, everyone in the DCG and bribed miners left and right.

Why do I hear people saying that we should sell out btc before fork?
There's no real reason, just a self fulfilling prophecy. It may pump for all we know.

If everything goes as expected, segwit2xcoin will die and will join the list of defeated hard fork attempts.

If you have BTC before the fork, you will have the same amount of BTC and B2x. Potential problem is that it could happen that mining power splits in significant percent and the block time extends for a very long time until the difficulty adjustment. This could bring down the price. At the moment no one can say with certainty how this will play out.

Hard fork is a upgrade to the current bitcoin protocol. Some says to improved its capacity from 1 MB to 2 MB if I'm not mistaken. Everyone is afraid because we don't know if this implementation will be successful because of changes to the bitcoin network. So there will be 2 bitcoin blockchains, one that uses 1 MB and the other one the new 2 MB. I don't think we need to sell out our btc because you will get free coins once the segwit2x is activation. If you have 1 btc then you will also have 1 bt2x or whatever they call it.

I don't think that people who are experienced in Bitcoin have the same opinion. After the fork, you will give some Bitcoin Segwit2x. Why should you be afraid of this?
After the fork, do not hurry and just wait to see which chain is the real one.

I don't understand this. What do you mean see the chain? How will I see that? Would that provide insight on whether the btc value will increase or decrease? Huh Huh Huh

I'll explain all that in a very simple manner-
Fork basically means a software update.
There are 2 types of fork concepts in bitcoins-
1)Hard Fork - mandatory software update. If you don't upgrade, your program won't run.
2)Soft fork- an optional software update.

People are afraid of it because when a fork occurs what happens is your bitcoins will get doubled, i.e. equal amount of BTC and BTU. This leads to a problem i.e the wallet on which your bitcoins are stored have actually full control over them. They can tend to follow just BTC or just BTU or even both. Every wallet has a different policy of adapting this fork. Coinbase stated that they will only support BTC coins while Breadwallet stated on supporting BTU. Trezor will support both BTC and BTU. People are worried about their bitcoins as their values can dump down after the fork. And that is also why you often hear people saying that they should sell out their bitcoins before fork.

Hardfork is the B2X hardfork right now. Everyone isnt afraid but rather if you have altcoins you will suffer tremendously. Should sell some btc prior to fork because after the fork it will likely trade lower than before and this is

an opportunity to seize.

This is a great explanation, I didn't know the risk for btc is more than it even had.. I am sick of these stupid forks changing nothing and just putting btc at risk. I am now reading that 87% of miners are likely to support segwit 2x and, what's more, it is sort of hoped that this fork will merge with current bitcoin segwit (the original btc). I can see people talking about this November, by the way, but is there any strict date already? Before the date the price might go down like crazy.

What is this Hardfork?
This is a contentious hard fork of the Bitcoin Core client to alter the base block size limit to 2MB.  This could also be intepreted as altering the max block weight to 8000000 due to SegWit having been activated on Bitcoin's main net around 2-3 months ago.
Why is everyone afraid of it?
This hard fork has no replay protection, meaning that a lay user may find difficulty sending Bitcoin soon after the fork.  Furthermore, it has been planned for three months and supported by some major companies.

Finally, the new chain would prefer to be called BTC, which complicates things as it leaves confusion as to which chain is regarded as "Bitcoin".  The general perception of the market (based on futures prices and the majority of Bitcoin services) is that the old chain will remain being called Bitcoin, but there may be a significant amount of network disruption around the time of the fork.
Why do I hear people saying that we should sell out btc before fork?
People are afraid of dealing with the fork, so they're hoping to basically run away.

Here's some good reading on the NYA attack/B2X fork:

https://medium.com/@Ulrich_98986/why-the-brazilian-and-argentinian-bitcoin-communities-oppose-segwit2x-801edc213af8

https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/segwit2x-and-case-strong-replay-protection-and-why-its-controversial/
(Note that there will be NO REPLAY PROTECTION built into the fork. Everyone is having to do it themselves.)
