Did anyone else notice that TerraHash allowed anyone to place orders today?

Did they not publicly announced that orders would be restricted to pre-registered account for the first 24 hours?

 Shocked

Really?

Huh.  I placed a pre-order but I already had an account before they sent out that email.

Yep.  I talked to someone who did not have an account, and they placed an order in the first 5 minutes no problem.

Interesting.

A lot of things seem slightly off about this whole TerraHash thing.  I was originally going to order the 18 GH/sec boards in BTC, but decided to throw in a test order of a 4.5 GH board via CC/Paypal - at least I have protection if this all does turn out to be a joke.

Terrahash just posted a screencap of their order for 10k Avalon chips, placed May 10th.  That puts me a little more at ease, though there are still a lot of unknowns.

The big question is if they have already placed another chip order as the current one will probably be used in the first couple of days' orders

Although they previously stated that they had already ordered 20k chips...

I placed an order as well!

I've waded in the water with a GPU miner for a bit and was itching to get in more but didn't want to do more GPU's.

Didn't have many BTC so this one let me avoid exchanging Smiley.

They are pre-selling assembled boards based on the klondike design (your chips or theirs) that the user would have to connect and what not. They are also selling fully built machines with a case and an optional psu.

are you thinking about https://terrahash.com/shop/ the most exensive one ?

I would like to order something like a big case with psu +1-2 boards and then keep buying boards from then putting it into the same case. hopefully with plug and play difficulty

Yes but not the most expensive one. I did a mini. Their case design is modular and described as plug and play. If they come through then it'll work as you describe.
