BTC can reach 8000 USD, maybe not this year but in next years it will definitely grow value. But why did you open this thread in altcoin speculation board? If it's only for Bitcoin speculation? That's actually my wild expectations for BITCOIN's market value before this year ends. Let's just see since it's market value is volatile that you wouldn't expect it to rise like crazy.

BTC is a powerful cryptocurrency. It increases its price so fast, from a no value coin in 2009 to a 7000 dollar coin in 2017. It always price up in everytime I look for its price chart. Expecting to reach 8000 dollars is not impossible because it was almost there. A thousand dollar is just needed to reach that price and there is no way that BTC will boost down because it was stable in 7000 dollars and increasing so I think it will reach 8000 dollars.

It is good to see that at least part of people on this forum start getting a bit skeptical about short term value of Bitcoin. Few months ago everyone was predicting price to just go up. Now many thinks is time for a consolidation and expect price to reach new ATH only next year.   One thing is sure, Bitcoin is not super cheap as it was a year ago when was sub $1000.

It is not impossible but also it is cant reach that fast. It went down to 5500 in the past days but easily rise up again at 7200$. So we are just waiting for another fork or any other big miners that will help pump the price.

It got very close to it already, I believe ATH was around 7600.

8k dollars is possible to happen because as of now the price of bitcoin is already 7200. Maybe next week the price become 8k dollars so be ready for that and you will earn a lot of profit. It is not just that. Some ICOs are such blatant frauds that the developers just raise the funds and then retire. You might not even get an opportunity to trade them. It is much safer to stick to Bitcoin.

bitcoin will not reach $8k within hardfork but it seems to go to the moon caused by the CME futures trade, two biggest company in the US already tried to give a possibility to enable the bitcoin future trade in there.
if you are seeing about the fact it's the future trade but it gives a lot of impact to the community. The community trust bitcoin more and more.

Bitcoin will reach $8000 soon. The current pricing stands at a massive $7700 which just broke the $7500 mark and I don't see it stopping. I don't know when this rally will end but it does encourage more users.

I don't see why not. At the moment it's already over 7700$ so this could happen very soon. Bitcoin has shown recently that it can fall in price fast but also recover very fast, much faster than it was before. This shows biger resilience and that contributes to higher trust level of the users. Except some newcomers that panic on the first sign of price corrections. But I think that the price of 8500$ could be a nice gift for Christmas.

Even yet the price have been driven down on previous days but seeing on on whats happening it is already reaching out for breaking that $8000+ price range which is really good to see such thing. Hard fork isnt realy be an issue if bitcoin would lose its power but now it did regain again on we are now again on bullish trend.
