I have build a lot of mining boards for a few friends with H81 PRO BTC REV2.0 and max I have tried is with 6x RX series cards. I think it can support up to 7 GPU-s if you add one through a M.2 adapter. However try to change a few things in BIOS, make sure above 4G is selected and PCIE configuration to be at Gen1 in order to lower the resources being used and having a chance to boot on 8 GPU although I highly doubt it.

It is an option in the Bios which supports more than 5 GPU-s. Anyway now there is a new normal king in town the ASUS B250 MINING EXPERT up to 19 Gpu-s as I don't suggest jumping straight to Asrock H110+ PRO BTC.

hi, can you explain how you get working 7 gpu on asrock h81 r2.0.  i can get it done.

as soon as i add 7 gpu, it gets me boot loop and wont boot.  have to clear cmos to manege to restore its functionality.

tried 2 in 1 extender and 4in 1 extender... no luck so far.

i have nvidia cards 1070 available.. no AMD.

its long time ago, but as far as i remember i did it with an extender like you. i got the bootloop thing by adding a 8th gpu...
did you set pcie to gen1 in bios? gen1 needs less resources & with 1 gpu more than the board supports you need every resource Grin
