There's no confusion so far, the news is true, Segwit2X has officially been cancelled  because of lack of consensus as I come to know.

It has allready begun  when you just throw a look into any exchange you can see that something sick is going on at the moment, most of alts are in in uptrend. These can least a few days for sure.

So that's what happens why bitcoin price sunddenly spiked. I was surprised to see itwent 7888 and then now back to 7300. Do you guys think it'sbest to buy alts now? planning to put my btcs on alt in the meantime.

Probably more likely due to the lack of replay protection. If true, alts will hopefully start ticking up again. Sure hope so, 'cause most of my alts are butt hurt right now.

I think it is a good time for basket trading. I would just pick 5-10 good alts with medium capitalization for midterm right now. They should recover after this news for sure.

Good news for ALTs but that cancellation threw a wrench in my plans to pick up more ALTs for cheap before the fork lmao.

Guess I will have to wait and see the next time I can hop back in.
