far as i know it is going to be postponed for more than a month, or maybe two, but there are going to be new forks on December and in January, of course, but we dont know the real names of them yet. But i really think that this whole situation with all the forks is getting crazy, maybe we are going to see about two forks every month in some time from now, hahah, this is getting very crazy, but i like the way that it is going. If it is cancelled, then it is better, but if it really got postponed, it is going to be a good notice for all of us in some months.

Seriously, there's hardforks scheduled for December and January? At this rate splitting fork coins soon won't be worth the effort anymore. People already hardly cared about Bitcoin Gold, I don't think any of the other junk forks are going to get far either. BCH and B2X at least had some sort of community support, but now it's just getting silly.

I just heard about the rumour of the bitcoin silver, i don't know where is it from but it seems a lot of people are talking about that right now. Bitcoingold worth nothing now rather than a coin and i'd liked to call that as another trash. But if the recent announcement of the delay of the b2x fork means if that was getting cancel or not? I still don't understand about the truth.

As I understand the statement they released, they do not want to have a hard fork or divide the community that is why they are cancelling segwit2x. They want it that bitcoin will adopt the larger block size through segwit2x but they did not get it so they are cancelling. They are hoping when the community realize that there really is a need for larger block size they will consider this solution.

Yep and this news has had a major impact in the current bull run of altcoins and also bitcoin before a dump off. I really would expect the price of bitcoin to climb once again since now it is seen as one unified coin again. It'll be extremely interesting to see how the price reacts to when segwit2x gets reannounced. They're saying that it's just postponed, so not entirely cancelled.

Canceled segwit2x or not is not important. The main thing that the problem of imperfection bitcoin left and it needs to be addressed. Bitcoin is an innovative asset and if its not correct he can lose the fight with its competitors. Interests Shterev can not be higher than the interests of the entire community.

I don't know about the December and January forks but they are not unexpected at all, we are going to face many forks from now. I agree that bitcoin users don't really cares about the forks like Bitcoin Gold and Bitcoin Cash in the past. Although this one B2x have got great support than any of the previous forks but after the date has been postponed it seems worthless now.

The cancellation of B2X might change that. Bgold futures dumped on the news, and so did Bcash. Regular altcoins (non-Bitcoin dividends), on the other hand, rallied. It might not be the bottom for altcoins, but this kind of relief rally will allow those coins that haven't bottomed to breathe, and the next dump will probably be the last. You're right that we can do nothing to stop them, though. But people will care less and less. Apparently something called "Bitcoin Silver" is coming out, but does anyone even care anymore??

I don't see the good thing of postponement because for me the benefits of fork is to reduce the traffic situation in the blockchain in which it will also reduce the service fees as well specially that more transactions will be created in the future because many will going to join the bitcoin investments that may results to more additional traffic in the blockchain and that is why it is necessary to increase block size for the smooth transactions in the future.

i do not think it will be cancelled because we need this(probably, because in my opinion it has its own use), they said they do not want to divide the community because of the hardfork, but in the end this thing will be happen. in other word they're delaying it again for future, they did it just to make people stop arguing, fudding and something like that which is not a good sign for Bitcoin growth. if they keep forcing it,we will see a differences in Bitcoin community view and support. i believe there'll be a time for this thing when we're openly accept it because we need it but of course with more development behind it. the most important thing is the community,it's decentralized thing and need the community to grow it and run it.

I don't think the crowd who just bought BTC to get the free B2Xcoin was that big. Bitcoin still is around $7200 on an average. However we may go down even more the next couple of days to cool down and reset all important indicators. But sure after this fork issue is off the table now, there is clarity in the space again and therefore of course the alts are pumping. And there may be other forks coming. Bitcoin Silver and Bitcoin Resilience or just two I heard of.

Delaying a contentious fork instead of canceling it (in the face of overwhelming lack of user support and total disgust) would be proof positive that these forks are being used as a FUD generator. That is all.
They need Bitcoin to have constant fake boogeyman, strawman threats for the FUD factor. It's the only way for them to create FUD on some arbitrary future date and thus introduce market volatility.

It was postponed but it would still be implemented. Maybe there are some preparations being made for that fork and the segwit2x are gaining support from the community to full maximize the HF. And there are so many rumors of coming fork this december that will be making bitcoin silver. I believe so that there will be pump again in the price of bitcoin. So hodl and trust bitcoin.

I am ready to support you in the previous forks. But for segwit2x I do not support you. It's not FUD. It is a necessity. As bitcoin popularity grows we will have more time to wait for confirmation of the translation. In such circumstances, to develop trade? Without trade, bitcoin will never be held as currency. Segwit2x only postponed. Now it is very important that it occurred with the consent of all parties. In the end, everyone will benefit from it.
