I would recommend doing an auction to determine the market value. Start it at 0 or face value and see where it goes from there.

A friend told me 0.7 wouldn't be far fetched, but it does seem high from what I've seen. The markup was more off of the tokens current condition. I would be comfortable letting it go for 0.5BTC range

Either use an account that seems legit for escrow, or try to convince someone to not use escrow by giving a decent discount on the price.   I'm sure there are other ways as well.
