I wish there are such investments too, but sadly, things in life don't come for free. If you search up 'bitcoin investment sites', I bet all of them are scam and will run away with your money in the future. Those sites 'promise' high returns over months, with unrealistic rates of interest. Ok, think about it this way. Where do they get their money from? You may think that you 'invest' in them so that they can make more money, but if so, why would they share it with you? They can just get that rates themselves and become quadrillionaires in a decade. So, try not to 'invest' in any sites. However, there are lending sites that gives you small amount of interest, but it isn't worth the risks and the possible fees. Poloniex is an example: https://poloniex.com/lending#BTCJust check this board called investor-based games and see the scams for yourself. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=207.0Honestly, Bitcoin is a good investment, so by holding bitcoin, you are getting 'interest'.

Conpound interest is one of the most greatest invention of economist. Yes it is a great way to invest, but for a long term. Compound interest really creates great profits if handles wisely and invested properly. You can go to stock market or insurances which fully utilizes the use of compound interest. Bitcoins does not work that way so you can't really apply it here unless you can convince someone to agree with you.

Compound Interest is one of the safest way to invest your money because there's a guarantee that your money will increase its value by the percentage that you will accumulate annually by the bank that you deposited. Let say your current principal is $2000 and you hold it a year, the interest rate is 5% yearly the compound interest is 3 times annually that would be $2,101.68. That's a sure increase of money unlike investing in cryptocurrency there is no assurance that the price will still the same.

It's an option to invest in a reputable Bitcoin casino perhaps? You keep gaining interest on top of what you've previously earned and you can just keep your investment there for a couple of months or years. There's a thread in the Securities section of the forum of someone who invested in a couple of coins at Crypto-Games and he documents his profits for every coin. Take a look if you're interested: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1796062.0

I think that everyone who takes out loans in bitcoins is a Scam. If you need money for your business then you can contact the Bank and take out a loan in Fiat. It will be much more profitable. This year bitcoin has shown growth rates of 700%. And that's without interest on the loan. What business has such profitability? I do not believe that it is possible to find an honest borrower.

Compounding interest is indeed the best way to get maximum return out of your investment. But unfortunately no banks offer such investment avenue to commoners! They use simple interest formula to calculate the return which is paid at quarterly or annually directly to your savings account and not in the investment account. However, don't get disheartened! Rather, invest in blue chip stocks for longer time. Here longer term means really long, at least 10 years! There are some good stocks in the market which pays regular dividends. Make sure to invest those dividends back into the market without spending them for enjoyment. Such kind of investments often fecth much higher return than traditional investments.

I get the feeling I'm misunderstanding something here. Please put me out of my misery and explain! Don't all banks pay compound interest by default? If an interest rate is consistent, at whatever %, let's say 10% again, you invest $1 million, then after 1 round of interest you get $100k, so you now have $1.1m, then after the next round of interest you get 10% on your $1.1m, i.e. $110k, and so on. For so long as you keep your money in there, the amound you get as interest increases each time. This is the basis of compound interest, isn't it? I do have a tendency to post when drunk (doing it again, sorry), so feel free to shoot me down... but isn't compound interest just interest on interest? i.e., it's compounded? So $1m at 10% becomes $1.1m, becomes $1.21m, becomes $1.33m (or thereabouts), becomes $1.46m (ish), becomes something like $1.60m? So long as you leave your original capital in there, and you leave the interest accured so far in there, then by default you get interest on the interest, so the amount of interest increases each time.

We have just released our first integration with the Compound system on our non-custodial Eidoo wallet. Now you can swap your DAI with cDAI tokens and get the compound interest (now it's more than 8%) https://en.cryptonomist.ch/2019/09/30/defi-eidoo-dai/If you need more info just let me know Isn't this the same thing as cryptocurrency staking? I get the feeling I'm misunderstanding something here. Please put me out of my misery and explain! Don't all banks pay compound interest by default? I think banks system don't work like that, at least for regular savings account, they have a fix plan for savings and you can only get an interest on that amount regardless how much extra you put in your savings account. Lower than that allocated amount won't get you any interest. Well that is how the bank staff tells me about their savings policy, but I think it is different on their time deposit plan where compounding interest is enabled.

The investment that you will yield in a compound interest is significantly big but it requires a significant of time also. Most people plan their retirements with investments such as these in order to have a large sum once they reach the age of retirement (or depending on the plan initiated). You regularly deposit pay a monthly or annual fee (monthly is better and will result to a larger sum) and recover the proceeds at the end of the plan. Conpound interest is one of the most greatest invention of economist. Yes it is a great way to invest, but for a long term. The difference between cryptocurrency and compound interest is the manner of investing. The former may require HODL while the latter requires a regular intervals of deposit into a fund that will accumulate in time. Compound interest can be considered the best type of investment IF you start early.

I have not encountered such an offer here in crypto. There are investments here but I think they are not offering compound interests. Binance for example is offering a lending investment. You can also invest in gambling sites. Please check if the interest they are providing is compound or not. If not, then you will manage it in a way that gives you more or less the same amount as if you are investing with a compound interest. If you have the option to withdraw your earned interest immediately, you may do so and invest them as an additional to your capital. In that way, the earning is increasing as the capital is also increasing.

Yes indeed compound interest is a great income to earn passively. However, I would just recommend to you holding your bitcoin instead of trying to invest to some sites that are relatively unknown to others. Heck, if someone made a site where you can invest which gives out compound interest, id doubt anyone would not know about it. But I have no idea which investments give us compound intere
Best example would be banks. Banks pay compound interest on deposits which inherently benefits the depositors of that bank.

Compound interest is probably one of the best ways to make money, setting a set term, and then just watch the money roll in, but this investment options like these are hard to come by, unless your going for pretty risky investments.
Most compound interest options I've seen are in trust funds/venture capital funds where the profit you make gets instantly put back in the project, and then after a set amount of time you get everything back.

It has a good effect and bad effect to you. The good one is that Compounding Interest is the best and safest way in making investment to achieve great amount of profit. Just always monitor the security and make sure that you're patient when it comes to investing your money.
But the bad thing is that there are lot of scams in doing investments. It's very hard to find an honest borrower nowadays due to scammers in our society.

I don't understand. Isn't that just reinvesting? You can either take the income, or invest it in whole or in part. What is so special about this? I check the definition: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compound_interestCompound interest is the addition of interest to the principal sum of a loan or deposit, or in other words, interest on interest. It is the result of reinvesting interest, rather than paying it out, so that interest in the next period is then earned on the principal sum plus previously accumulated interest. Compound interest is standard in finance and economics.
But you describe everything as if you discovered some kind of grail.

in my opinion such an investment may be an agreement between the two parties, when they will make a partnership and make an offer how much will be obtained per year / other time period. I think banks use the same method, but maybe a smaller amount. and you can also invest in bitcoin, it profitable for longterm.

Compound Interest is nothing but Interest earned on reinvesting the interest already earned. Sounds complicated?? Suppose you have $100 in your pocket and you decide to invest it into a bank. Bank gives you 8% interest per annum compounded annually. Now, the thing is at the end of first year you would have $110 as you have earned 10% interest. Now you decide to let the money stay as it is and reinvest it. Now the bank would give you interest @10% on $110 because that is your new principal at start of year. So the interest will be $11 instead of $10. This is the compounding effect. This effect grows as the time duration grows. Every investment can give you compounding effect if you don't en-cash your earnings and use it somewhere else. Best investments using compound effect are Mutual funds, shares etc.

Have a think about what you're actually investing in before blindly deciding to do so simply because you can "compound" your investment. Sometimes earning simple interest or capital gain can far outperform interest that is compounding but low. Essentially, anything can be compounded if you simply reinvest your earnings back into the investment vehicle. Equities with dividends, bonds with coupons, anything of that sort. Again, the frequency of compounding and the ROI figures should be what you look at, not just a binary yes/no.

Compound interest is really a great thing! Try investing $ 1 per day (this is one un-drunk cup of coffee), at 13% per annum and see what happens in 3-5 years. You can also invest in bitcoin, and preferably in several cryptocurrencies at once (from the top 20). However, there is always a risk of being left with nothing.
