Hey everyone,

I'm new to mining and wanted to ask for your opinions. What is the best online wallet?

I heard Exodus was pretty good. What are your thoughts? What about BTC.com?

Thanks,

There so many wallet providers which gonna to offer customers various versions of wallet service with different security levels. Hardware wallets are best and this wallets have second to none security features. Online wallets are less secure than desktop, hardware wallets.

I am created my first wallet back in 2014 and it was Blockchain.info and even today I am using it without any issues. I am fully aware of the fact that storing funds online is risky, but I find it user friendly and hence I keep my 5% to 10% funds on web wallets/exchanges. I think Blockchain.info is the best wallet when it comes to the web category. I also use Localbitcoin.com's wallet as I am impressed with the coupon feature which enables us to send even 0.0001 BTC to another localbitcoin.com user without paying any fees,

Apparently there's been alot of complaints about blockchain.info at least on their Facebook page, so I wanted to double check.

They've sometimes been known for buggy software and in the past for poor fee estimation.  In general, their features lag behind a tad.  However, you can access a seed phrase from your wallet, so if kept safely you should be able to access your funds if something were to go wrong.

You could try a multisignature online wallet like BitGo or Green Address.  The way that this works is you need 2 signatures to access your wallet out of three.  You have two devices which can be used to access your wallet, and the service holds the third.  This way, you are protected if:

-You lose access to one of your devices; or
-The service no longer wants you to access your funds.

Green Address even offers an option of having an nLocktime transaction in which your funds are sent to a wallet you control after a certain amount of time.  This way you are protected in almost all circumstances.
I heard Exodus was pretty good.
Exodus is a software wallet.

Best web wallet will depend based on your own preferences so yes you need to try them one by one. Fees varies per exchange so you really need to check each one of them to match your own criteria about fees. Another concern about web wallets is their ability to handle tickets response.

Popular ones are Coinbase, XAPO, Blockchain.info etc. You can also check bitcoin.org to their suggested web wallets as reference although those I mentioned are not listed anymore.

There is a lot of web wallets out there which make it easy for newbies to send and receive bitcoins.
But this doesn't mean that they're the best or the only options out there.

Actually I'm one of the people who always recommends not using an online web wallet. This is because most of them (like blockchain.info, xapo, coinbase or whatever) don't give you the ability to export your private keys. This might not sound dangerous or an issue to you but.

Not having the private keys to the addresses that have the coins means that you're totally dependent on that service making it feel like just normal paypal or skrill. So if the website or the service itself gets shut down or ddosed, you can't do anything.

The best option would be using a wallet like electrum. Export  the private keys, print them out and keep them somewhere safe. And if you want a wallet on your phone then you can add that address to wallets like blockchain but in this case even if the service goes down, you still have access to your coins from any wallet.

I think best online wallet is blockchain I never had any problems with it. For desktop wallet I would recommend Electrum it's very easy to use. If you want more security then go for hardware or paper wallet. To avoid problems in future you should backup your wallet seeds.
