Some people talk as if they have emotion towards... A COIN?
I'm positive most of these people also have no clue what the project behind the coin (or token but I guess that's taking it one step further...)...
I'm by no means an expert!

It is like transference. You want to make money...ergo, you like/love things that help you attain/keep it. Be it your job, car, colleagues, coin, job, politician, spouse, friends, stock broker, etc. etc. Normal and nothing wrong with it IMHO. |

It is like transference. You want to make money...ergo, you like/love things that help you attain/keep it. Be it your job, car, colleagues, coin, job, politician, spouse, friends, stock broker, etc. etc. Normal and nothing wrong with it IMHO. I respect your opinion! I guess I have this mentality that to succeed in this world you cannot base your actions on emotions. Stating you love a coin seems very irrational to me... (my ex did tell me I was cold hearted too lol that could explain it ahah) |

I say that it's the complete opposite. To be successful on the planet, you HAVE to LOVE anything. It doesn't really matter what, but love and hate are the strongest emotions on earth and gives the most power one can have (imagine the mother that lifts a car to save her child). Think about it  |

People use words that fit how they want to express themselves. Those words may have different meanings to different people...depending on their education, culture, emotional state, etc. I try to understand the message being conveyed and not get hung up on the message itself. I've read many posts here that made my head spin...and if I get hung on them...would make me crazy (literally) LOL So try to just take what you can and move on! It is much healthier for you.  |

It's true, that's the case usually with some members of the community but they are entitled to an opinion, even though it might sound they have ZERO clue of what they are on about. Why don't you, me and everyone else who see's posts like that, simply move on and ignore.

I think feeling some emotion towards something is normal. Like if it is a COIN (your example), if it gave you a lot of profit, surely you will feel something towards that certain coin. Your support to that project or coin (if you don't actually know the project but you still care for their coin) is the emotion that you're feeling. |

People just buy some coin or token,and when the thing they bought dumped,they start to cry or trying to promote their assets by saying '' i love it,its perfect '' etc.Thats all |

You dont feel emotions towards the coin... you feel emotion towards money... lets be real here
You pretend to love X but if X starts to dump within 24h you'll go from I love X to I hate it or I dont care about it.... come on
You literally have zero interactions with these coins. You have more interaction playing roulette at the casino. And you can't compare this to your job. If your job is daily trading then you like daily trading or perhaps daily trading coin X but not coin X itself...
And just to be clear it was a rant but I'm not mad or anything. I dont believe this thread will change anything at all..
Why did I make this thread then? I dont know to be honest... something that crossed my mind at that time and felt like sharing maybe others felt the same way... I could be wrong... Some people thought electronuem was a good investment I don't... to each their own opinion

Think about it There is no way you can separate emotions from something when money is involved, but we are just more rational with our investment decisions than some people, because where your money is that is where your heart will be. I have seen people got attached to some dead project still thinking it will have that early price rise |

I think feeling some emotion towards something is normal. Like if it is a COIN (your example), if it gave you a lot of profit, surely you will feel something towards that certain coin. Your support to that project or coin (if you don't actually know the project but you still care for their coin) is the emotion that you're feeling. Yes, This is the truth.If any person Trade with a new coin and then get more profits and again trade again profits then he's forced to say that it's a good coin.It can escape emotions.Every person has the freedom to react. |

OP, I think people don't get emotional about some specific coins in most of cases. It can be one of two things:
- emotions for the project's idea. It's like having a favourite football team of something like that. If the project seems important and awesome the one buys coins just to invest in the project and doesn't try to sell them when one sees the price is going down or up.
- emotions about loss/profit. Surely people can have true sadness when realizing the money that was invested is lost or get very exited when a coin brought huge profit.
I think both cases are rather fine and people on this forum mostly aren't emotional about projects anyway IMO.

I agree they get emotions about profit and loss and that's something I completely understand! I love money! I've made money with NEO, I don't love NEO.... I love the money it made me...
