Really sorry but BFL just changed way of payment... PayPal is no longer a option. It was replaced by Bank Transfer. Paypal was there about 15 hours ago but no longer... I need to transfer all to BTC. But this will take some time(2 days) to get $ off Paypal...

For some reason I can't even get shipping cost calculated... Can someone else look if he/she has the same problem? IE and Chrome. It looks like there is a problem with BFL page...

Most designers including K16 taking just 12V and using various regulators/down convertors like IR3847MTR1PBF to be generating other voltages.
https://ec.irf.com/v6/en/US/adirect/ir?cmd=catProductDetailFrame&productID=IR3847MTRPBF

Should not be difficult to getting 5V 250 ma off 12 V supply, if that primary need for USB.
Yes but if you need more Watts than one PCI-e cable is recommended to be used then adding another or something else is a good idea. And if you need 5V you can take it of PSU molex connector that gives you the rest of the W on 12 V needed...

One my rigs having dual 7970 cards when hashing mode cards pulling 400 watts each.  That being supplied by 2 PCIe connectors off 1.3k watt PSU for each card. That meaning 200 watts per connector or 12v at minimum 15-16 amps.  Board needing more than 200 watts???  Not especially wanting all different connectors. Having PSUs with 6 or 8 PCIe connectors.  Should be running 6 or 8 boards, yes?
But you are using 8 pin and 6 pin right? And I think you don't get full 400 W. Anyway. I was looking at my 30€ PSU that I used to have in my miner... Receomended load 150 per PCI-e... So if we have over 75W on one side you are OK but if it will work with 8 chips you are not. But then it might be just this cheep PSU... I need to look at some others...

The difference between 6 pin and 8 pin is just two extra grounds...

Just so you know, I hear that Paypal will no longer deal with BFL.  Account frozen, investigation pending.  May or may not be true, anyone tried to order anything from their site - besides chips - recently?

Smiley Didn't know that... I just look at the page and look for fastest option... Now I need to get all back from there... I put part of the SEPA transfers in Paypal already and since it is in the same bank it is already moved... O well... How long is this out there since Paypal was still option yesterday?

Original spec for pci-16 slot and 6 pin connector was 75 watts - circa 2008.  They easily handle 150 these days.  Most modern PSUs separate the 12v off into multiple rails.   8 pin spec'ed for 150 watts but can handle 300 watts.   Otherwise, nobody would be running any GPU models past 5850s, much less 79xx GPUs which draw 400+ watts.  The 7990 GPU card draws 650-700 watts off two connectors.

Just a guess, but now that BFL is refusing refunds (bad choice), people could be filing complaints and refund requests via PayPal.  I have never done that, but I hear tell that PP sides with the purchaser nine out of ten times.

YEP Soon as people put a claim in it takes the money out of their bank which could mean liquidity issues for BFL. Let's hope the best and they deliver on all fronts!

Hi!

OK update time...

Today I was looking to borrow some money so we don't need to wait for Paypal to transfer money... I will probably get it tomorrow... So I will order then... Backup plan is to wait for Paypal to register my money transfer. It was register this evening so I put the request to transfer founds back to my VISA. This takes 2 days and then about 3 to 6 hours to get found on Bitstamp after that to get BTC. I hope we can all agree that this is BFL related problem. Paypal option just disappear without warning...

I have change price yesterday(see first page) since BTC fall down but It is still over 25$ at current exchange rate so it is OK... For now... Second 50% will be a bit higher then...

Also confirming credits...

Will update first page as soon as I can...

Besides what my sister RSB bought, I'll take 20 at 50% (plus need coupons) if this doesn't get closed out today.

PM with a price in BTC for coupons and 50% and I'll have it paid by about midnight your time.  My sister says you are fair, and I know the exchange rate has changed, so just PM me with the amount I need to send in BTC at current exchange rates plus whatever deal you can get on coupons.

I will start that right away... Will do my best to get you a good price since you and your sister are one of my bigger buyers...

EDIT: your post is gone. Did you change your mind?

No - send me a quote and I'll get you the BTC in a few hours.  I deleted the post because I decided it belonged in PM instead, and then got called away.  I just now got a chance to get back to it, but since you've seen it already, no point in sending the PM.

20 @ 50% + chip credits in BTC.    Make whatever price adjustments you need to when you quote the amount and toss in whatever the necessary chip credits are.

Now I see I'm getting an error:
Chip Credit Transfer Confirmation
Unable to find data for the specified key

I have no idea what that means. I had them resend the confirmation but still I get the error when I click the link. Believe me, I have credits to burn! I have put in an email to support. Let me know if you have any ideas. No one else has had this problem?

And FWIW: I've been waiting for my Jalapenos for 13 months now, and don't expect to receive them this year. Don't hold your breath waiting...

But I got my Jalapenos last month and it was an Aug 2012 order.
