OK some not so good news. Noting catastrophic but still not good... Boards are working on 3.3V side(new on this board) but problem is that it was not tested with chips(1V side) but that is the same as it was on Coinado so it should work. This is important for thus who are planing to mount chips on by themselves. For pick and place machine is not a issue but when doing by hand it is. First test of putting on chips failed. form tried to solder them on with two different reflow ovens. Balls on chips didn't malt. You would need heat from underside as well but didn't have reflow oven that would have this option. Second test failed too. He tested with hot-air from underside. Destroyed some chips. He thinks that cooling implemented in the board itself it to blamed. Seems the new massive groundplanes (not used on Coinado) are sucking too much heat away. So tomorrow he will test with heatingplate. It should work. But untill you succeed you can't say for sure. So let all say: "Brake a leg tomorrow form"

Hi buyers!
I will be soon informing batch 1 buyers about payment. Since there were some chips exchanges could you all look at list in OP if you find yourself there. I might made I mistake. I don't think I did but it is possible.
Now I didn't post here yesterdays news. Board did worked but manually putting chips on the board is a nightmare... So we have hashing board but not tested with 16 chips. We have ordered assembly of the board so we will have it in 3 days. After that we will need to order parts for boards to have everything ready when chips come. If anyone from batch 2 or 3 is ready to pay for board at this time that will help a lot with the price. You will receive details in the mail.
BFL seems to be shipping on time so we will need to pay other 50% soon so I will also start to collect that. I think our payment date is less then 14 days away so get ready.
Now if anyone was planing to put chips on by himself please reconsider. Unless you have hi end professional equipment(much better then one that form have and he is making boards for living) it looks to be impossible to do it without destroying some chips.
Have a nice remainder of the weekend

Forgive me if I seem slow, but is the plan to try to buy as many boards from JJ as a group to try to get a bulk discount? If so is there any indication as to what our (lucko's group buy) price per board will be?

You will be buying boards from me. We (me and JJ) might buy some components together(if that will decrees the price) but I will make GB board in Slovenia. Chips will come to me so there is no point of sending them to JJ... JJ will only mount chips for north America the rest of the world is me...
I hope I will manage to write you a mail today(need to run to work and over the weekend we had a harvest in vineyard) so I can explain everything...

I was just curious as to what the logistics were. Take your time, the chips aren't even here yet.

I thought that logistic were simple. Send them to me. I have given you my address. If you need it I can resend it to you. But there seems to be a problem with JJ and me. I thought we agree on something and he things something else. I need to get in touch with him... So I will wait to get that sorted and send mail tomorrow... Time zone difference is a problem and for some unknown reason I falling a sleep at 10pm behind a computer...

It makes much more sense to just send the chips to the assembly facility When the time comes I will send you a .pdf with postage label including your unique order number Just PM me to set it all up thanks (this is just for customers residing in North America)

I ordered chips through Lucko and they will be sent to Slovenia.
I am in the USA and plan to have my board assembled by JJ.
Will my chips be shipped to me or directly to JJ?
Thanks.

Hi Lucko Is it there yet? ?? hi friends My regular UPS guy was out sick today so there was a substitute that knows nothing about delivering in this remote area. (just my luck) 09/25/2013 4:39 P.M. A correct street number is needed for delivery. UPS is attempting to obtain this information. / The address has been corrected. The delivery has been rescheduled.
I talked with the local UPS hub at length today and I will get the shipment of boards for sure tomorrow looks like we have to wait one more day :/ -JJ Was hoping to wait for this but I will do it today no matter what... EDIT: Sorry I thought you were asking something else... Board right? Well JJ didn't say anything jet.. But there is about 10 hours difference...

Hi, Production Boards are in. As we suspected my assembly facility had no problems mounting the chips. Here is some eye candy... I will be mounting the cooling parts and loading firmware in a little bit, and will post pics when these bad boys are hashing away. If you are in North America you can place an order with me via PM, send email to jj@cointamination.com, or by placing a secure Bitcoin order at our website. Build times are 5 days, expect about 7 days for delivery from time of order, production starts the day we receive the chips. After your order is placed you will receive a .pdf of postage label of where to send chips along with your unique order number. talk soon -JJ
