Retarget means change in difficulty, in this case the difficulty is going to be going wayyyy down.

So I carry on mining on a pool and the difficulty will change itself?

Yes buddy it will change automatically and you will be able to mine more coins per day. Trust me this coin is going to compete LTC

This depends how low the diff drops and your hashing power. There is now an 80% diff change cap which I believe suggests we could drop back down to a diff of about 2 from 10. At diff 10 and about 800kh (pool mining) I'm able to hit a block or two (if lucky) for the pool per day. Personally that's a low enough chance for me that I'll stick with the pools for now but at diff 2 going solo should definitely become more of an option. I would say however less than 4-500kh would still likely want to stick with a pool even at diff 2.

Also there's 50 coins per block so IMO I'd stick with a pool until making like 300+ PXC ( at least 6 blocks) a day but that's more a personal preference than anything.

Pooled mining is the best option for miner who have 500-1000KH/s solo is for those who have above 2Mh/s.

Changes that have been implemented are: Difficultly changes every 480 blocks max change is 80%. We have also added checkpoints as well.
