The rally of the BTC price had some negative influence on other cryptocurrencies. Now, as Bitcoin will probably become steady, without surges of falls, other coins will have a chance to improve their positions.

Andrei Popescu, a lifetime member of the Bitcoin Foundation, and Chief Experience Officer at C.O.S.S. PTE LTD, a platform which encompasses all the features of a digital economic system based on cryptocurrency, told Coinidol:

“Ether and the other altcoins are suffering now of poor liquidity because of the Bitcoin rally.” Good news is that BTC is becoming less volatile, so “the selling pressure for other altcoins will diminish.”

Bitcoin will recover soon and there is no doubt with that, i have bought some bitcoins yesterday (well, just 0.08) but i am waiting until it gets to $7700 again, but we are not far away from that goal if we think about it, just five hundreds dollars are not a big deal.
it will recover probably during this weekend, usually during all the weekends the price tends to go up, so i am still waiting for it to happen.
And on sundays the price always skyrocket, i really expect to see the price over $8000 by next week.

Definitely! Bitcoin will pump higher and higher until the end of the year and will be in stable price and continue to dominate the crypto world.   Grin Grin Grin

The last few weeks I was sad, even frustrated because my assets dropped dramatically, but now I'm starting to smile and be happy.
I agree with that statement, it's a chance for alt to fix the price, hopefully all alt will pump.

It was obvious the price of alts was suppressed and that it was impossible for the price to remain that low for a long time, so all of those that took the time to invest in alts in the last weeks are going to see great profits in the next weeks and months, however I wonder what this will mean for the price of bitcoin, does this mean the price is going to keep at its current level or there is going to be a correction.

Bitcoin is probably going to correct for next few weeks and alts will stage a good
relief rally. Same script plays over and over.

Agree that alts are going to bounce back big and may even make new highs in next few months.
Hold them tight and enjoy the show!

This is the trend we're seeing right now for the past 24h or so. The price of bitcoin is relatively stable with sometimes price going down just a percentage or two and other times the price going up a percentage or two. But there is no real direction.

Altcoins on the other hand have performed way better than expected during the month.

Mainly this is caused by the fork being called off and it should continue as the primary trend.

Well, since the fork story has officially ended, I think we can all rest assured that Alt's are back to the focus and they're back for good! Ethereum had already a value increase of about 2000% since the start of the year and now that the fork has been cancelled, we keep on seeing money flowing into it, which is awesome. Other coins are benefiting as well, obviously, but my personal opinion is that Ethereum will outperform everyone, including BTC in the long term. I just like the entire concept of Altcoins, it feels like any of them could potential offer the same returns as BTC and many altcoins are doing exactly that, NXT, Sratis etc. all had phenomenal market returns which are completely foreign and alien to traditional investors, just wait till they get on board as well. Alt's will really start taking off then.
