Once you get central air, you wonder how you ever lived with fucking window AC units... or even fans LOL.

Central air too good?

Dude I'm not kidding, I remember as a child we had metal fans that went in the windows. No one had A/C back then (granted I grew up in the sticks.) The first time I got an A/C I was in heaven. It's crazy how spoiled you get with technology.

I first experienced air conditioning in my mums car which I never knew we had until recently, it was glorious, it was the same sort of feeling you get when you go into the area of a supermarket where you have all the yoghurt's and milk etc. I'm going to buy one of those portable ones so I can take it with me wherever if I need it because I really suffer in the heat when it gets bad.

heat does suck. it's more uncomfortable, but it's harder to survive winter conditions.. so i'll still take heat. besides, if it gets really hot, you can go swimming. that would feel good.

Oh fuck, it's not a stupid de-humidifier is it? I'm looking at it and it looks legit to me but there's a serious problem with air conditioning units being totally mislabelled at these stores.

Just took some Piriteze, god it feels good once it kicks in.

Hey LostDutchman are any of these ones real? I honestly don't have enough experience yet to tell them apart, I thought those exhaust ones were proper air conditioners.

No dude that is an air conditioner. It's just that some people hate on portable air conditioners and think they suck. There is a huge variation in how well they work so make sure you read some reviews before buying.

My last apartment had weird windows so I use a portable air conditioner (a 13k BTU LG one) and it worked AWESOME. You have to run a plastic tube (about 4-5 inches in diameter, it comes with the portable air conditioner) to a window for it to exhaust the hot air. But the installation is way easier than a window or wall mounted unit and you can move it from one room to another in about 2 minutes flat.

Also, some of them have a compartment that fills with water from the condensation and you have to empty it periodically. The one I got (the LG one) doesn't require that, it blasts any condensation out through the tube with the hot air. I would recommend going that route, fuck emptying a water tray.

The good ones are expensive (more so than a window or wall unit generally.) Mine was about $600 including tax.

Seeing the snow is nice and playing games in it but having it around for a couple of months you miss the warm Smiley
Then you miss the cold later since you can put on layers in winter but not in summer to cool down

I used to love the winter when I was a kid and it meant getting days off from school, sledding, snowball fights, etc. Once you get older and have to start shoveling, and then when you are an adult and you have to shovel your car out and/or drive to work in horrible conditions with people getting in accidents left and right and it takes you fucking 5x longer than usual to get to work, then it starts to suck donkey balls.
