Fuck winter! Summertime and all the hot girls be showing so much skin.... That's great if you live somewhere you can be a hobo panhandler and still attract ladies, but some of us need to mine for wealth, and I sure ain't mining unless miners' electrical "waste" is offsetting propane heating costs (all three of us in house didn't go through even half our propane tank through the most recent Winter!). Hay fever, ticks, and dyshidrosis, too, so Summer and Fall can go to Hell. Winter can go to Hell, too, really - nightmare to live rural in harsh Winters (long commute, "snow plow force" is made up of a guy with a truck and a plow attachment who generously plows roads when he feels like it)... Best time is right after all the snow melts and the highs are in the 60s or 70s (F).

The only danger there is for me in snow is laughing too much at somebody who's stuck and crashing into them by accident because of that That is kind of funny. The water ditches on the sides of roads act like drunk tanks around here in Winter. Lots of cool wildlife at night in Summer, though. Saw our first fox early this morning. I didn't even know they hung out in our neck of the woods. Saw some weird stork-like creatures a few days ago, and the deer are especially unpredictable around these times -- usually it's worrying, but it's always good for a laugh once past them. A fellow hit a deer with some kind of tall Monster Truck thing a few days ago near where our road meets the main town road, and apparently hit it with so much force, he actually managed to decapitate the poor thing. Outside the blood, it looked like his truck was completely unharmed - looked almost like he only hit its head with his front fender (was one of those hardcore, oversized composite ones). Was a bit of a head-scratcher. If he only hit its head, was basically the perfect kill -- all the meat'd be fine (no bone shards) and you're already halfway to draining him.

I too hate summer. I don't remember it being this hot when I was a kid. This past December we had a high of 97 one day in December. It's supposed to be the shortest day of the year and we hit 97F near the beginning of winter! So far in 2014 I think we've had 20 day below normal and about 160 above. Don't even get me started on mining - some of my PSUs running in ambient greater than 40C

Um, isn't that like saying I love winter, except for the cold, wind, snow & ice?

You could move to the equator. Every day is the same all year.
One needs a lot of money for that, don't they?

One needs a lot of money for that, don't they? Countries on the equator tend to be the world's poorest. That means poor people live there.

It's true that summers sucks but winter sucks also even thought i enjoy it more. It would be ideal if it would be 20 C - 25 C most time of the year, that would make me happy.

GRRRRR! I've done research on this and that's not an air condtioner, it's just a fan that uses ice to blow cold air in you're face, real air conditioners transfer the heat out the window >_< *hiss*

I wonder how many people replying in this thread stating they like summer live in a location where summer could actually be deadly? Admittedly I love winter but here in Southern California we had 1 day with 97F this past winter. The coldest it got was 34F overnight low - not even freezing.
About 100 miles from me is Death Valley which has the hottest recorded temps on Earth.
For those who claim they like summer, what kind of summer are you talking about?
