Who would be interested in giving an in-depth technical presentation
of the Bitcoin technology at Schloss Heinrichshorst near Magdeburg?

It's not very far from Berlin and the location is fabulous!

See for yourself:
http://www.heinrichshorst.com
http://www.facebook.com/schloss.heinrichshorst

We just started a Meetup group ourselves:
http://www.meetup.com/BUGM-Bitcoin-User-Group-Magdeburg

It would be a great kick-off :-)

Well, terms like 'in-depth technical presentation' might scare people. Wink

Btw. would be nice to have some more details about... Your group, yourself, your plans, e.g. mining BTC with alternative energy etc. etc. etc.

Guess an announcment like "Let's meet up in Schloss Heinrichshorst, enjoy the location, a free beer and talk about BTC." would help to gain more interest. Cheesy

"And the machine keeps pushing time through the cogs, like paste into strings into paste again, and only the machine keeps using time to make time to make time.
And when the machine stops, time is an illusion that we created free will.

So let's change it into "Let's meet up in Schloss Heinrichshorst, enjoy the location, a free beer and talk about BTC." :-)

BUT I would like to go technical while having a beer and enjoying the location! ;-)

I'm a telecom engineer active in the IT industry for more than 10 years.
Currently I still sell Drupal web development services, but I'm into a lot more.
Check out my LinkedIn profile: http://de.linkedin.com/in/heinrichshorst.
Or follow me at http://www.facebook.com/dirk.vonheinrichshorst.

Crypto-currencies have caught my eye and now I want to fully support them as much as possible.
Setting up a Meetup group to gather at Schloss Heinrichshorst seems like a logical thing to do.
Getting people together, learning from each other, brainstorming about new projects, etc.

So how about that beer?

I like it. When and where? And in-depth to what? pool mining? algorithms? wallet security? everything? that is a lot of stuff, and to explain it all in depth in a single presentations is a thing of maybe 4-5 hours with questions....

Where? That's easy :-) At Schloss Heinrichshorst (www.heinrichshorst.com) in Magdeburg.

When? As soon as possible. This summer preferably. Join the Meetup group and let's plan the first meeting.
Here's the link again: http://www.meetup.com/BUGM-Bitcoin-User-Group-Magdeburg.

In-depth to what? Personally I wouldn't have a problem with a full day program :-)
Of course this will depend on people's interests and specialties.

What would you like to talk about?
