There is information shared by lauda states that Segwit failed this time. I am not sure that btg will be comes to the market.

It's a very amateur project which supposedly will launch its mainnet today at 19:00 UTC: https://bitcoingold.org/bitcoin-gold-launch/

I'm confident that it will have issues though.

Even the network still not alive and the bitcoin gold just run on the test net. All of the bitcoin gold that already traded on the exchange site just pure IOU coin and no more. Those are hyping that IOU token due to the segwit 2x cancel. That's pretty ridiculous. I see someone posted above me about the launch of bitcoin gold. But it's still nothing compared with bitcoin cash,

I`m definitely not putting a penny in this crap. That`s for sure. I just wannt get my free ones and sell`em all for BTC & BCH

It`s pretty weird that I don`t think I`ve ever seen anyone defending this coin yet...
That`s just sad

I don't think it's like bitcoin cash. Bitcoin cash at least has a degree of legitimacy. I think it's very unlikely that bitcoin gold will reach the prices that btc cash has. All that stuff about retaining a % of coins for themselves is very suspect.

the problem is because of lack of communication and also misunderstanding.
the fork itself was never supposed to happen on Oct 25. the snapshot of bitcoin blockchain was planned to happen that day which it did happen. then they were supposed to premine 16000 blocks which apparently they did. and then release the coin for public to mine or whatever...

there is a nice daily update on their blog: https://bitcoingold.org/blog/
according to this one (https://bitcoingold.org/bitcoin-gold-launch/) it will be launched in 1-2 days.

It is likely that the situation is more or less the same as the BCH, but many also hold this coin for some reason.

Whether it will all return to bitcoin Huh

WTF did you think was going to happen? These devs copying the Bitcoin code and trying to start from scratch with a better algorithm are just using the coin for a pump and dump scheme. They market it as being better than BTC and will have better PoW algo, but when it came time to perform they didn't produce. No shit! Who the f*ck are these devs anyways? Nothing compares to BTC devs.

All bitcoin holders will have some Bitcoin Gold, so it isn't quite as easy as just 'forgetting about it'!
I see that it is trading on Bitfinex, but deposits aren't being accepted, I guess the price will crash, then recover, then permanently crash when trading/sellin starts, so I'll be keeping my eyes open for when deposits are allowed.

$150+ per Bitcoin held isn't a lauging matter. When I bought in that would have almost gotten you the entire Bitcoin!

I bought it foolishly without doing further research. Later I found this post on twitter from a developer:

This means there was a premine.

On the official site, the lead developer has his username as his alias with no picture.

No explorer on CMC.

Too fishy for me, I sold it immediately afterwards for very mild gains.

My only advice is to use discretion and tread lightly.

Not to mention that in the WP one of the lead developers claims they were avid ASIC miners in China,
Now all of a sudden he wants to create a coin that can be easily mined after selling all of his mining gear?
TOO FISHY.

Edit: The image didn't go through so here's the link to the tweet
