I think it was never been cancelled at all maybe someone or some groups are just spreading this news to be able to let
them take the profit of the fork alone instead of giving it to the holders, im sure everyone is aware,
for those who wants to make sure that their btc can get a reward, you better get a wallet with private keys you personally holds

Segwit2x is definitely cancelled.

But of course that doesn't stop various chancers putting out fake news in the hope of moving the price. Now that they can't do China FUD it's going to be non-stop segwit2x FUD.

The segwit2x guys never really said it was cancelled, just that it was "suspended." But I think we can all agree that this means that we won't see a segwit hardfork for a long time now. It might be "on" but maybe "on" in a year or something, not in the coming weeks.

Sometimes, trolls should just realise that 90% of the world does not understand a joke. Even if it clearly says "Sent from my Spaceship", people will not get it and get all scared and rumor prone. I wonder if people really just trade on rumours and fake news? Must be part of the pressure to see Bitcoin now fall to 6800, and Bitcoin Cash move up quite a bit. First time in a really long time I have seen BCH at more than 0.11 BTC. It would be so surprising if this continued all the way to December, though.

Many people will try to manipulate market with fake news about Segwit2X after its cancellation. I suppose we should stay calm and skip them over.

The news is a joke, I think what they are doing to is weigh up their own influence in the space just the way Roger did with the Bcash, alot of people now prefer all these hard forks because it is a free money for them

There was a collective sigh of relief after s2x got cancelled. Even if someone does want to resurrect it, they'd have an impossible job trying to gain widespread support.

Already people are saying that it is a fake news . And yes it might be . Infact I only believe things when Theymos himself posts such topics and updates us. Anyway Segwit2x was anyway just the same as the old fork so basically it's better that such forks are just neglected in future unless there are some major changes .

I think you need to check the accuracy of the above two, I find that it does not seem to be official information. Maybe they just want to fake to attract more users. As far as I know, segwit2x, it certainly will not happen, many users of the Bitcoin community did not support the event, it was a big controversy and now the winners belong to them. However, the problem of block expansion is still the most urgent issue and we need a solution to this problem. I think there will be new solutions soon
