Hi,

I have coins there but didn't realize minimum payout was .01 - are you going to lower that or make it user-selectable ?

Legacy signature from 2011:
All rates with Phoenix 1.50 / PhatK

Hi, btgpool.pro
I have been mining with you for around 9 days, i have noticed that i am mining half of what the calculator shows, I have 2.4ksol/s hash rate, this is shown perfectly in the statistics of this pool.

The btgpool.pro calculater shows that i should be able to mine 0.04 +/- a day but regularly i am mining 0.02 and some days not even that, am i missing something?, is there anyone with a similar hashrate that can advise if this is right or not?.

Thanks...

Hi,
So I have been mining elsewhere for around 36 hours with similar results, it is quite clear to me that this calculator http://calc.btgpool.pro/ is incorrect to the tune of at least 50%.
If you use the calculator take your daily $ value and cut it in half, that is what you will make per day mining Bitcoin Gold.

I am assuming that it's the calculator and not something else, these are just my findings. if anyone else can confirm or does not agree please let me know.

Thanks...

Mining profit calculation is no magic:

Let mh = my hashpower, gh= network hashpower, n= number of blocks per hour  ,  r= block reward then
Gross profit per day = 24*n*r*mh/gh
for btg with my 3 rigs with 9.3 Kh it is  24*6*12.51*9.3K/90M = 0.186 btg/day

calculating electricity costs and converting to fiat currencies is trivial.

The thing is pools do not play fair, especially for coins with little community activity like btg in its current phase. I have been pointing my rigs to pool.gold for several days now, The rigs have been up and running almost 99% and the sum of my paid and immature balances show a gain less than 0.12 per day it means a 35% shortage which can not be justified as total network hashrate have never gone so far and has been lower than 90M  in most periods in the last couple of days. Obviously this miner, pool.gold,  is cheating.

I have noticed another phenomenon that convinced me they are cheaters. The other day their stats showed their huge (almost 20% of the total network ) hashpower has mined nothing for 7+ hours it means 42 blocks. For this to happen you should hit a bad beat with 8.5*10e-5 when you have a rough 20% luck. In real life, this 'accidents' happen, of course, but when we are dealing with suspected behaviors of a pool operator, well, what do you think?

Hi, thanks for the reply.

So you are 35% down, I am at least 50% missing, anyone else want to chime in and tell us if you are experiencing the same thing?
At the time of writing .pro (5Msol/s) has not found a block in 13 hours and .gold (15Msol/s) has not found one in 9 hours and those two
pools currently have the most miners...

These 2 pools equate to 20Msol/s (network 95Msol/s), where the heck is the rest of the network hashrate coming from because the
remaining pools don't make up the difference at all...

Solo?

Cloud?

Thanks...

Hi @ForikGTI

Please could you tell me if you are an admin or related to the btgpool.pro pool? in any way?
If so all I want to know is why the btgpool.pro calculator is showing one figure and in reality I am mining 50% less as mentioned above your post.

You might be able to give me a plausible reason for this or explain something I did not consider.
Your input would really help me make a decision on what to do moving forward.

Thanks...

Hi All,

I am going to provide a bit of data for a week and a bit (Sun today to next Sun) to try and see what is going on with rewards.
I know hashrate and difficulty/luck play a part and changes things but I am working rough so bear with me.

At the moment +/- throughout the week...

Pool.gold has around 23% of the hashrate (16 Msol/s / 68 Mol/s)
Pool.pro has around 9% of the hashrate (6 Msol/s / 68 Msol/s)

Pool.gold 23% of 144 blocks per day = should hit 33 blocks per day
Pool.pro 9% of 144 blocks per day = should hit 14 blocks per day

I am going to assume that on average...

Pool.gold hits 25 blocks per day
Pool.pro hits 10 blocks per day

Again roughly 25+10 takes me pretty close to what the BTGPool.pro calculator suggests, (earnings per day).

                   Pool.gold     Pool.pro
Sun Blocks        19               3

Mon Blocks        13              7

I am not going to carry on, it's quite clear to me that both these pools are just simply not hitting enough blocks to get anywhere near the earnings per day according to what the calculator says.
It's not just these two pools but the same story anywhere you mine BTG.

Thanks...
