+50% is not an unusual happening here

When is the last time a top 5 coin doubled in price in 3 days? These gains are nothing for micro caps, but the volume at these prices is truly impressive.

2x side joined with BCH side, enemy of my enemy. There is a lot of hashrate swinging around, massive FUD with "analysts" predicting 5k$ BTC pullback and a lot of new cash entering the market.

This looks to be the case. Tony Gallippi and Vinny Lingham dropping hints on Twitter that businesses are moving to BCH -- the war continues. I actually think the $5k predictions are correct, although I think there will be a monster bounce first that squeezes the late shorts out of their positions.

As I expected, the #No2X side celebrated victory too early. Before we could blink, the price dumped $1500, BCH is headed to the moon, and the 2X businesses are laying new FUD at Bitcoin's door.

Bitcoin.com turning BCH only is also significant as all the new guys will think BCH is the real deal.

I wonder how important Bitcoin.com is in the scheme of things, but that's worrisome. I had no idea they were passing BCH off as Bitcoin. It's actually really weird considering Jihan Wu's Twitter today.

I agree with Patatas. Bitcoin Cash and will forever remain an altcoin. BTC is the leader and will be. This is just a temporary pump, meanwhile BTC price is having a correction.
Anyway, I disagree with your choice of not investing in BCH at all. It's true that BCH will never overcome BTC, but it can be a good a profitable altcoin though. So better to have anyway...

I think that OP means that now is not a good time to invest in Bitcoin Cash and I agree with this. Soon the price will fall after this pump. Better to buy some BCH after the price drops.

This is a real pump and dump scheme, we have already seen  one in the aftermath of the fork, the price will crash again at some point.

I was watching this coin closely because it is obviously a pump and dump.  I was actually more interested in how a coin is pumped in the first place.

I would see sell order for BCH that were in tiny amounts, like .01 or .02BCH.  However, there were TONS of these sell orders all just a fraction apart in price.  And then, at around what I assumed was kind of a "gate price", there would be a huge pile, like 40BCH for around .0145 or something like that.

So how I interpreted this, was that whales or pump and dump groups or whoever used that "Gate Price" to have casual traders post below that price (for example the 40bch at .0145).  Also, to have casual traders post even lower prices they would flood the sell list with small amounts of BCH.  So a trader who wanted a quick sale would naturally just look at the cheapest price than post their BCH lower.  All of these were picked up really fast (I'm assuming by the pump and dumpers) and relisted back into that gate price.  So this ensures that they can buy BCH at a lower price and sell for higher.

Every now and then, it looked like they wanted to break past that "gate" and suddenly all of the small transactions would disappear (I assume they cancelled their sell orders) and BAM! The lowest price is suddenly that "Gate price".  Anything that was listed below that was quickly bought out.  So it forces quick buyers of the coin to purchase at that price.  After the supply in the gate price was gone, then the process was repeated again up to the next highest gate price.

Whew! Needless to say it was incredibly interesting to watch and would be impossible to pull off unless you had a high amount of the coin to play with and a large amount of people doing the same thing.

I also had a lot of fun watching the pump and dump, speculating that it would start going back down at 1k once it was over 800. Is a good way of learning, great timing they had as BTC is going through correction, well planned out and a good display of market manipulation. Sure lots of people made lots of money on this pumping, I had already sold at 650 but I still made a few that I am happy with. I am looking forward to seeing the alt coins start to go back up so I can sell again!

As i have heard that the main reason of this price increase in bitcoin cash is due to segwit2x cancel and bitcoin gold failure makes bitcoin cash more strong and as real bitcoin transaction charges are high and confirmation is also low , which makes bitcoin cash more popular due to big block size due to that low transaction charges and fast confirmation of transaction. If i am not wrong then very soon we can see bitcoin cash become more popular then bitcoin

Bitcoin Cash will cause a big loss for people dumping their bitcoin to buy it. I think it will dump dramatically soon.

Bitcoin cash is an improvement of the bitcoin. Why can't it replace bitcoin  core?
Are there features in bitcoin core that bitcoin cash doesn't support?

BCH will dump after the 13th.

Technically speaking, it may be superior to BTC, but it's not bitcoin.

Even though LTC is superior to  BCH, price is still low. What does that tell you...

Do the maths guys..It's very simple..

John buys 10 bitcoins at $4000 dollars each. This costs John $40,000

John creates mega hype for bitcoin and drives price to $8000 per bitcoin. John's Bitcoin is now worth $80,000.

John sells all his bitcoin and he invests all $80,000 in Bitcoin cash. Bitcoin cash is $500 a coin and so John now has 160 bitcoin cash coins.

John creates hype around bitcoin cash until it peaks at $2000 and at the same time he creates FUD about bitcoin until it reaches $4000.

Now with Bitcoin cash valued at $2000 each, John has $320,000 worth.

John sells all 160 bitcoin cash coins and buys bitcoin which is valued at $4000, so for $320,000 John now gets 80 bitcoins.

Bitcoin cash starts falling annd bitcoin starts rising and goes back to it's pre-fud and post pump value of $6000.

John now has $480,000 of Bitcoin.

The above is why the whales are pumping Bitcoin cash. Segwit2x was the pump for bitcoin, now they've bought in to bitcoin cash and will pump it and fud bitcoin, once they've hit target point and well before non whales who think they're clever and make their own target point, the whales will dump and buy straight in to bitcoin. Everyone will follow suit and drive the price of bitcoin back up.

As a human it is normal to speculate that bitcoin will encounter FUD because of Segwit 2x activation drama.

it is a big bang to know that bitcoin network is controlled by 6 persons which operates large mining farms.

if bch reaches 3k usd then ill switch to bch

maybe the circle of crypto currencies is like that and we have seen this over and over. once the news is out, then it will affect with the price and it will to another coins. right now bitcoin cash is increase and we don't know how much it will increase and its depend of people in the market and if we want to make profit then we can prepare to get in. but be careful for this because the price could jump in just any second and make sure that you research before you buy.

You might have already seen the stats, might have already known through sources and various blog posts how Bitcoin cash is bla blah blah but hey don't fall for it! As far as my opinion is concerned, sudden rise in the prices is just another pump which is a no big deal. The coin's going to fall down soon.
We have came too far to realise how exactly this works and to the newbies, please don't invest whatever you have into bitcoin cash because chances are you might lose them.

Another rumour is spreading around right now : "Bitcoin Core-The end is near" - We have see too many instances where people said the same for like the million times and bitcoin still is ruling the throne.

It is not hard to agree with this claim. I think the primary reason why Bitcoin Cash is pumping is that the anticipated SegWit2x was cancelled and therefore the Bitcoin holders, knowing that they will not be receiving give-away tokens anymore, went back to find some other options. Here comes Bitcoin Cash, which is claimed to be an option for Bitcoin holders. However, this is definitely very temporary.

This thing could have legs. You really can't argue with the price appreciation. It is either shocking or spectacular, depending on if you are buying, selling or on the sidelines watching. Right?
