Today, for the first time I bought my second amount of Bit before selling. I'm rather new and only buy and sell one large amount consistently.
I'm not sure why I can't seem to wrap my head around this but I want to be sure:

I bought two different instances with different amounts and at different prices, but they are compiled in the same wallet? will I have different exponential gains from each?
How does this work?

I use Gemini.

Well you're going to have different gains in USD for it, not in Bitcoin. You may have more or less Bitcoin depending on the price point in which you bought it, but it'll just tell you how much BTC you have. Only difference is going to be when you sell you will make different profit amounts on those two.

That's only really if you're calculating the profit which you make, which you should be if you're a trader.

You should keep track of all your transactions, that way you will know exactly how much is your gain, it does not matter if all the coins are in the same wallet, I use Excel spreadsheet for that

All this depends on buying and selling price for each amount you bought. You should keep in some report in you computer to avoid being confused.

Yes I agree with this one. Some people like to use blockfolio to track their portfolio or you can use an old fashioned spreadsheet

There is an app called Blockfolio on play store, you can use it to track your portfolio. It's easy to use.
and those other services that provide portfolio tracking :
cryptotrackr.com
getdelta.io
