there are lots of reasons for the drop, and little of it are because of bitcoin cash.
I believe most of the current drop is because of those who bought bitcoin for the 2x free coins and as they are cashing out disappointed a panic sell starts and makes the dip bigger.
there is also lots of speculation about the drop and that alone can cause the sell pressure to grow.

when to buy?
it is hard to say but it is probably best to wait a little while to see when this sell pressure is going to be lifted so that you can see where the bottom is. I am personally waiting to see how $6400-$6500 will hold and then (if it comes to that) $6200.
I may also buy something now, like investing 30% of my money now around $6500 and then wait for lower, if it happened then buy another 30% or so and if price never went lower I buy back at higher price.

i do not know about Bitcoin Cash fork that will happen at 11 November.
but it made sense if we looked at the their movement lately which is really questionable.
the price is pumped hard due to fork(probably) or 'other reason'.
compared to Bitcoin,
i think right now it's a good time to buy it,we're seeing a cancelation of Segwit2x but we did not see a huge downward,right ?
which mean there're trying to tank the price and we should see another movement.
it's very hard to read the market right now because right now everything is manipulated.
that is why i told you that it's the right time to buy it,

I think we will going lower again.
If you plan to buy 2-3 BTC means you have the money already on the sideline.
Maybe you should think about buying in partially.
Buy a bit (10%) today or tomorrow and then see how the price develops the next couple of days. Try to layer in your orders the more we go down in price.
Getting the absolute lowest point, the bottom, is not easy. And for not missing out a cheap price you should really layer in. That's my recommendation to you.
Technically I think we could go down to $4.8k-$5k!!! Question is if the market really wants go for that low level, which would be another ~38% from recent ATH. This would be the 5th big dip this year. How likely is that to happen?? Nobody knows. But many have an eye on that level for sure.And such a dive in terms of price would reset all the main technical indicators, which are pretty overheated on the high time frames (M,W,D) at the moment.

There is no fork mate, at least not on the same date as scheduled. If you haven't seen the recent news, Segwit2x was rescheduled and the date currently is still unclear. There is a signed notice from basically all the primary players in support of 2x.

I think it's a good time to buy your bitcoins, at a price below $7000.

It's going to be rare moving on from now to see as low as price like this. I would recommend at least buying half of what you are planning on buying bitcoins with.

I don't think that the price will decrease more so it is better to buy it now or else the price will be increased.I heard that news of fork was cancelled so i hope that the price will increase soon.
But normally anyday is better to bitcoins because bitcoin investment needed to be long term investment to give good profit.So don't think too much to invest on bitcon because in future the bitcoin is gonna be a most valuable asset.

The fork has nothing to do with Bitcoin Cash. Bitcoin price drop because of the postponement of Segwit2x activation. Many investors and traders who put their money on Bitcoin ecosystem because they have to get free coins during Segwit2x. But since it was decided to postponed it, those same investors and traders, sold off and cash out their bitcoin that's why the price drop. And as far as Bitcoin Cash, we don't know if some of them bought this coins but I'm sure that someone from behind is trying to manipulate the price of it that's why it is suddenly rising. As for your questions, I always told that if you have the funds to buy it today then don't wait get it while the price is low and then wait till it gets lower because it might not happened.

That's a lot and that reason of the drop of bitcoin is true. Many are getting preparing for themselves to get free coin so they keep on buying bitcoin but you had misunderstood it. That is Segwit2x and for your convenience that will not happen anymore. And the reason of the pump now is many are buying bitcoin cash. And with the price that's already a big decrease originally went from $7,500.

f you look at the current Bitcoin price of course this is a profitable thing if we buy Bitcoin. Bitcoin prices are cheap due to price corrections. but I can not guarantee that prices will increase again and this can certainly make a loss. so think again and calculate as Bitcoin's rise and fall in prices are very difficult to predict.

Buying in smaller fractions is always the best option, but with how the market is being sold at this point, it makes sense to put buy orders just above and just under the $6000 mark.

Chances are on the higher side that the $6000 mark will not hold. I am planning to start buying as soon as the market dips under $5500 in the coming days. If it doesn't happen, then it's not a big deal.

I have enough coins sitting in my cold wallets. I am just looking to benefit from the dips to increase my holdings, that's it. I haven't sold anything because I am here for the long term, and that's the only way to go.
