This is a good warning for anyone with high value mining equipment.

I know quite a few people in India with huge investments into mining equipment. Please do be cautious.

Never mined, not mining, will never mine..  But still this is very very bad to hear. I wish this gets resolved quickly.

Bitcoin is simply money and you need to take a real care when you are dealing with money. The issue is most of the startups in Bitcoin do not have enough funds to protect themselves physically. Bitcoin startups are banks without enough physical security.

Yes. Definitely, i have come across atleast a few real incidents in my professional career wherein burglers have tracked the user on social networking sites like fb and twitter. Updating that you are one vacation from so and so date and stuff like that have led to thefts in their homes.

I can confirm one incident for sure that i know of wherein burglers saw the update on fb and then targetted their home.!

So be careful when posting on public forums and social media sites.!

Always buying and selling btc in bulk.!
