It's simple : We don't want regulation. We can do that on our own.

And are you gonna add a RFID chips to every single bill and coin to make sure their not use to buy illegal stuff like they are now ?

If Bitcoin became compromised, everyone would just use a different cryptocurrency. Even if it were feasible, why should we be expected to compromise our free speech? All we're doing is tracking work that has been done, and agreeing to work for people who have done some work themselves.

How is it that most people do not realize that Bitcoin is somewhat already regulated by all the laws around barter and the various stores of value and that no specific regulation is required for the state to claim taxes on your income/transactions ?

The amount of people trying to force (round) Bitcoin into a (square) regulatory hole is astounding. It's like they get paid to be completely and utterly as stupid as possible.
