Sorry if this is the wrong subject board but I am getting a little concerned. I have swept a paper wallet into the Coinomi wallet and after 5 hours the blockchain is still showing no confirmations. This is the first time I have had this happen and I have quite a lot of Bitcoin in the mempool right now. Can someone advise what do I do? Will the transaction eventually go through? Can it get stuck forever? How do I get my Bitcoin back?

Many thanks

Just wait, potentially a couple of hours or days.
Alternatively, you could start another transaction with a higher fee. That one would get executed first and basically render the current one illegal if both transactions combined have a higher BTC value than your account balance.

But I personally would just be patient and wait. Your coins are not lost!

Don't worry if it's pending in your wallet, it belong to you and there are no way you can lose it. I had the same problem with my transaction yesterday and I asked for help from transaction accellerate services in this forum. It worked.

Make a post with the TXID of your transaction in here they will help you, you can send tip if you want Smiley

Ok thanks for the information - the default fees in Coinomi is 0.002 BTC per kilobyte of transaction data - so what do I need to increase this to in order to get the transaction through?

Many thanks

Sending Bitcoin transaction as of now are hard because of some certain issues, your transaction is delayed maybe because you set your transaction fees to below average because while I am typing this post of mine the fastest transaction fee is 540 satoshis/byte, you can post your transaction here though so I can tell it to you to what time frame is your transaction belong or you can see it here: https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/

Thanks so if my transaction size is 224 bytes what do I set the fees to. Currently the default setting in Coinomi is 0.002 Bitcoin per kilobyte? What should I set this to for this transaction to speed it up?

Ok I think I get it. My transaction according to the Blockchain is set at 312 sat/B which would mean it would take between 75 and 770 mins.

Does this still hold true when you sweep a paper wallet into Coinomi.  Does it take the default setting in Coinomi. That is set for 0.002 Bitcoin so that should be high enough to cover a 540 sat/B fee - I don't understand as it does not make sense.

The size for my transaction is 224 bytes
Weight is 896
Fees are 0.00045 BTC
Fee per byte is 300.893 sat/B
Fee per weight unit is 50.223 sat/WU

so why am I not covering the 540 sat/B fee when the default setting is 0.002 Bitcoins?
