No, no and no. It's far easier to increase btc's block size than fully replacing it with BCH, so it is. It's just a pump and nothing more.
For me I think that if the problem of bitcoin as of now like very high fees and slower confirmation rate would still for about a month or two. BCH would win at the top

Some of this (most) is inflicted by those who don't like bitcoin core (btc) ..notice how transactions were fast and no spam or attack issues on the BTC transactions

when for a brief time a couple months ago...everyone thought there would be consensus and segwit2+2mb (since cancelled) was gonna work it all out?

NOW...you have big money power plays and SUDDENLY all the spam on the BTC transactions are back

amazing coincidence huh?

A person could almost say this was a pump and dump attempt on making $$$ vs a true upgrade path ...from those signers of BCH and such

Naw, no one could be that evil right? to pull stunts like what I am suggesting?

Then again I have it on good authority that the BCH Devs work out of this place

This is almost funny, till you realize the level of evil involved in all these pump/dump/fud fun and games are real life ..not a story....

enough greed and Bitcoin (of many flavors BTC, BCH, BTG, etc), IF you pile enough sh*t on it all...could really, really start to grow a nice crop of TULIPS!

Of course nothing is impossible. So many things that we can not have done so far have happened so quickly that nothing surprises me anymore. But in the coming days, in my opinion it seems very unlikely that bitcoin cash will replace bitcoin.

No, I have some pretty solid reasoning behind my belief, but lets just summarize it into one sentence. Bitcoin is not a real curreny, but rather hyper-liquid commodity, and not until it becomes a real currency it could actually be beaten in any way.

Doubt anything will replace Bitcoin. Bitcoin has proven over and over again that it's king of the crypto currencies!

If bitcoin cant solve those unconfirm transaction soon and bitcoin transfer fee keep increase. Soon bitcoincash will take place of bitcoin.  Angry
I dont think so, if bitcoin become use as cash, there are so many process to make and need it to be legalized by government. But i think is never be gonna happen because tha price of bitcoin is unstable.

No one cryptocurrency that exists now can replace Bitcoin or cost more than BTC. Recently made attempt to let Bitcoin Cash growing so fast was a kind of an artificially planned event. Bitcoin will grow more!

I wonder how possible that will be giving that a lot of investors are already in bitcoin and more people are still adopting bitcoin, although nothing is impossible on this planet, but it will be a hard nut.

Bitcoin has been in a very rough and roller-coaster road before claiming it's success and Altcoins will have the same as Bitcoin's.
Bitcoin cash is pumping last week but that doesn't mean it could break down or replace Bitcoin in a simple way.
My conclusion is that Bitcoin Cash cannot replace Bitcoin in terms of value, $1,200 vs 6,500 is too far of being a true rival.

Bitcoin Cash will soon replace Bitcoin in terms of values per coin if Bitcoin Cash will remain increasing and Bitcoin is dropping every other week then by next year Bitcoin Cash will be the top cryptocurrency but today there are no such adjustments so Bitcoin Cash sudden bubble will soon fade or remain flat in a period of time.

Bitcoin has tremendous support from people, investors and miners so it will be hard for some Altcoin to reach Bitcoin's success. A sudden Bitcoin Cash bubble is due to a large scale of miners but that doesn't mean that Bitcoin Cash will continue to rise because these miners are trying to shift and find out the effects of the cryptocurrency surge flow

The next Bitcoin is Bitcoin.

If it was going to be "replaced", there are hundreds of technologically superior candidates.

Bitcoin is loved and respected because it's everyone's dad, it's what started it all, it's not respected for upcoming tech or other attributes.

Bitcoin is Bitcoin, Bitcrash is nothing, just a shitty alt with nothing going for it.

Waves, Particl, Neo, Eth, etc. All far superior tech wise to BCH, if anyone's going to dethrone Bitcoin it won't be BCH.

nah, I don't see how this can happen. Forks are hardly branching out to the inferior solution. Even though there are some impovements in the protocol it is still not what Bitcoin is, and the trust in still not there as is with Bitcoin. Yes, we might have seen Bitcoin Cash appreciating signficintaly within the past days, but as you've noticed the markets have balanced this out eventually. There is just way too much hype on Cash and that's why we see the price/BC cash appreciate so much, it should have never happened in the first place. You can't really go wrong by being invested in BTC, because most people are already using it and the technology (as every other coin) is depended on this adoption. So as long as BTC is the "king" of crypto you can rest assured that it is a safe enough investment.

Why is Jihan Wu of Bitmain so hot on BCH..well, imho he has all the angles covered

'EVIL FRIGGING GENIUS'

Jihan Wu of Bitmain, also supposedly can still get 15% to 20% more in mining BCH than BCT with ASIC boost..asicboost does NOT work with ANY flavor of seg witness...

..thus he has slack to push this BCH protocol as a BTC replacement, and if that does not work...fallback as an ALTCOIN and if that does not work..he can dump it back to BTC

at a much HIGHER  price...then the hoard he has accumulated of BCH since it's launch....(he has only accepted BCH since this Fall for Bitmain Equipment...obviously hoarding it for this

option if needed)

than when BCH becomes an Altcoin he can run his older fading sha-256 miners in mass yet on BCH.... (sha-256 becoming obsolete BTC equip on and still use ASIC boost as a hedge win/win)

This is especially true,

if BCH does NOT work in the above manner...stalling the difficulty and obsolescence of his sha-256 stuff and the 15% to 20% hedge with asicboost....he can always dump ALL at a much

higher price back to BTC

Ideally, for him...in the longer term...with BTC price continuing upward....in price....BCH becomes a $400 or $500 USD mineable sha-256 ALT coin ....for his fading BTC miners and it is a

win/win/win o

Jihan Wu of Bitmain, with very little risk, whale wise...but a hell of a lot of upside for the trouble....

WELL PLAYED, WELL PLAYED INDEED! (Slow Clap)

(bitmain: we do evil well!) (tm bitmain)

No way bitcoin cash cannot be able to replace bitcoin yes there is some glitch in bitcoin transaction now a days that has to be clarified by community internally . Not creating speculation like hardfork and pump the coin.

No, the Lightning Network will be along before too long, which is why Ver, Wu & Co were pushing so hard, this was their big chance before BCH slides into irrelevance, which it will do the very second the LN is ready to go live. Bcash holders will get rekt big time.

Or any number of coins that are better than Bcash.

Personally I think Bitcoin will always be top dog, but if I was going to pick a coin to replace BTC it wouldn't be BCH, which is just a nothing-special-shitcoin with powerful backers.

BCH will never replace BTC. The reason is because, as of right now, new adopters of Crypto are MUCH more comfortable with BTC than any other currency and as of right now, new adopters are numerous and VERY important. However, in the future when new adopters are few (or non existent) I do believe that BTC will be surpassed by another currency. I know that this currency will NOT be BCH because by this time in the future, there will be countless currencies better than both conventional BTC and BCH. In fact, I do not believe that the superior currency in the future will even be a fork of BTC.
