They are different enough, that neither is a direct replacement for the other.  A well balanced portfolio would have both

I already did it. Bitcoin cash is bitcoin
They are not the same, bitcoin cash is just another desprate way to make people mone bitcoin less so it does not end fast, devs have recently increased the mining difficulty on bitcoin just to make miners switch to mining bitcoin cash in order to make it work and secure its network, sure it helped it a lot and people are starting to use it a bit more but that does not mean it will take the place of bitcoin, and eventually bitcoin will get back again, and the ones who have switched to btc chas they will regret it.

Is it time to sell BTC for some BCH ? Maybe sell 25% holdings of BTC to buy BCH ?

I don't know what to do as I don't have any BCH... what are others doing

No no no, bad idea. What would you do if you have BCH anyway? You shouldn't buying because the price is rising. You're panic buying and it won't gain you any profit. You shouldn't react that late to market action. What others doing? Well people who panic buy are buying at a high price and left bagholding BCH. Tongue

If I send 0.2 BTC to an exchange will the BTC transaction get confirmed ? Because there is a big backlog in transactions ??

With sufficient fee, yes. It's just that the fee will be higher than normal day.

I don't think it is a good idea to sell your precious bitcoin for altcoin called bitcoin cash because no matter how high the value of BCH gets will always fall. they are using applying new form of pumping the value of altcoins, so don't fall for it or you may have to regret it for the rest of your life Smiley

No! Bitcoin Cash is a piece of shit manipulated coin. You go exchange your BTC to BCH if you want. Exchange now so you can cry later.

I would not sell BTC for BCH. ETC did not overcome ETH, and my guess is that neither BCH will be able to overcome BTC.
Rather, it could be interesting to start moving some BTC to ETH. When this mess will end, ALTs will have a good rise.

This is different with ETH vs ETC. The bitcoin cash also gained a lot of the interest from the miners caused by the difficulty adjustment, there will be more people try to compare about the mining profitability between the bitcoin and bitcoin cash. This not only battle between the fork coin and real coin.
Various reason already involved in this battle. Just like a political method to attract the more intention through the difficulty adjustment of the bitcoin cash. Honestly bitcoin cash just like a politician's coin.

Time to sell 100% of core weak btc coin.
It lost $1482 in less than 2 days and it does not work anymore.  Core coin will die.

Bitcoin Cash is Strong Coin, Price is Increasing , It will be #1

It will still depend to a person whether he/she will invest to BCH rather than BTC. But ofcourse, in my opinion, Bitcoin will still be a better investment than BCH. Bitcoin still has a larger community that will assure a high market demand which is good for its market value ilunlike in BCH which is quite new. And i also believe that BCH will only be on mainstream for a short period of time just like BCC.

I don't believe it's time for such a thing as that. It's all hype, everything else does not matter at this stage of crypto like BCH is. A shit project without a product can pump more than a completely legit project with a product if it creates enough of hype like it is right now. There are market cycles (bull alt season and bear alt season), from January to June 2017 we had a bull alt season, a lot of alts mooned x10, x20, x50, x100 now we are in a bear alt season, thats why a lot of alts dropped 70% since June. But a new alt season is about to start in a few weeks/months and maybe BCH can be into it because for me BCH isnt anything else but a simple altcoin with nothing to offer except free money to whose had bitcoin when fork happened.

There is no full proof that most of us here needs to buy BCH. There are still no projects with Bitcoin cash why are they even buying BCH? Clearly it's just a pump and dump scheme most of them are manipulating the small hold investors to buy BCH to increase the price of it. There are no explanations to buy Bitcoin cash .

Yes, Just Put the fee atleast 50-100 Sats per byte some floded the whole blockchain with transactions that has 5-15 Sats/b as fee. that's why we have alot of unconfirmed transactions.

I didn't have any BCH, so this does teach me it's always better to have a few top coins, but more than it, now I'm wondering whether BCH is really dead now, or there may be some pumping again, for an example when (if) bitcoin comes with hard fork again as it is a possibility. Now it's not worth buying BCH though. If it comes down to $600-800, that could be a buying opportunity though.

Sell your BCH while it's still above 1000usd. Right now it's artificially pumped above 1000 by bots, but the ones keeping it alive won't waste their money forever.
It was a pump & dump, you don't buy while it's still dumping.

You also don't wanna invest in a coin that has jut proven to be massively held by a couple of whales who orchestrate pumping, because they will just use you to make more money.
Some won a lot from this shit, some (buying above 2000) lost a lot, but the big winners are the organizers.

There was no need to do anything. It was a temporary pump BCH. BCH will never replace bitcoin.

BCH got pumped hard. Use it only for speculation purposes. They have been hostile towards the BTC community in the last few days.
