Hi there! Amazing project and very motivated team, it is great to be here with you all!
Hi @aliketrogle! Thanks for the good words and we are happy to have you here as well Did you read the last independent article by BitcoinExchangeGuide? Here is just a little from there "... OS University has some potential as an entity, especially one that works to verify and record user credentials while making them transparent and available to businesses sourcing new candidates..." You could read more here - https://bitcoinexchangeguide.com/edu-crowdsale/Join the crowdsale from here - https://os.university/buy-tokens/Best, Teddy

Our CTO, Jordan Jambazov shared with you five reason why Open Source University uses Blockchain: " Reason 1 — Authenticity Blockchain is the right technology to immutably store people’s education, certification and achievements. Reason 2 — Decentralizing Trust Businesses are driven by trust, and storing data in a fully traceable manner is essential for the Open Source University project. Reason 3 — Less Bureaucratic Storing transactional data on an open decentralized platform is the way we eliminate bureaucracy in education..." There was already a BitJob project. The results are not at all impressive, the token on the exchange is worth a penny. Students are not interested in investors.

Hi, AliCris. Thanks for mentioning this ICO - their platform looks very promising thou! You are right that students are not interested in investors and I agree with you. On the other side students need verified credentials when trying to find new job as well as more access to courses and content of any kind to develop their skills. What I've seen so far from a few minutes reading the BitJob website - it seems to be a platform easing the process of finding a job for students and helping them make a living. Project like this one will enrich a product like ours and we would be happy to collaborate with them in the following ways - connecting students or as we call them "Learners" with businesses and match their requirements and also providing them with easy access to a much bigger market place for online courses. OS University platform is creating a decentralized system through where every learner has its own ''credentials wallet''. It is a first step to move the system forward and make it less dependent of middle-men, more open, democratic if you like. And definitively more useful to the global learner, who needs flexible, transferable, scalable learning and development approach - one that bridges higher and continuous education. EDU Tokens are the motor of the platform and are used to pay courses and connect with people. Since the token is ERC20 compliant, this token will be tradable - as the BitJob token is. As for the volatility of the token when listed on exchanges, our Project Lead Hristian Daskalov have already explained it very well "We would be using a proven public finance/governance mechanism, called a ''currency board'' in which you peg the value of a certain asset to a low-volatility instrument. You can peg a currency to another, but we are not going to do this. We are going to peg the cost of the offerings and services we provide through the decentralized OS UNIVERSITY platform. E.g. an open learning course on blockchain development costs 150 USD. If so, you set it up at 150 when you sell it through OS UNIVERSITY - the buyer buys for the amount of tokens that at any point in time correlates with 150 USD. Therefore, neither the buyer, nor the seller, can speculate/trick each other when exchanging value from one another. Of course, HODL-ing is also an option, but in that case - you can HODL and use other cryptocurrency to do the transaction (we will accept ETH payment transactions on the platform as well)." The more transactions are done, the more the EDU token price rises. Transactions in our platform come from Business, Academia and Learners. And also we already have proven our global mission to be on the right way as there are a few other Key players who are developing the same project but locally - what we do is a global project. Please have a look at The University of University of Nicosia Blockchain Initiative – https://digitalcurrency.unic.ac.cy/ and also Massachusetts Institute of Technology Blockchain education - http://blockchain.mit.edu/I hope this answers your question. We have consulted our approach with one of the leading names in the world of new private money - prof. Kevin Dowd from Cato Institute. BitJob (I hope our colleagues don't get offended by that) are missing the main point - blockchain is about decentralized trust. You need trust to transfer money, you need trust to hire people who you believe has the right skills. BitJob are not addressing the trust issue, they use the blockchain to register jobs...We use the blockchain to register achievements and make them immutable. The European Comission says that what we do has the potential to disrupt education in this exact same way by - by removing the need for a third party (institution) to manage trust in the field of education and professional development. https://ec.europa.eu/jrc/en/publication/eur-scientific-and-technical-research-reports/blockchain-educationWe are not building this for X million students. We are building this for 7 billion learners - in their 20s, 30s, 50s, 70s... Everyone has a national passport to travel around the world. We will give everyone a passport to store his credentials so that they can travel with him throughout his career. In a nutshell, our platform is 100 to 1000 times more scalable than the one you refer to.

Good luck! Thanks, @techniumunlimited for the support! We are having more and more people to support us. Today we've announced one of our advisors Kuzman Iliev who is a co-founder of the Brain Workshop Institute, Bulgaria-based research center with a strategic aim to become a leading analytical trust in South East Europe, having organized some of the biggest free market conferences in the region. Apart from Kuzman's role as a TV host on Bloomberg TV Bulgaria, he works on his doctoral thesis in the field of banking and financial economics. Hi, @TerrorFromTheDeep Thank you for the feedback! Actually we've mixed signarute and blog posting because of the bitcointalk contribution. OS University project is a project that provides global market for Academia, online courses for Learners, better recruitment processes for Business and more, and more. For this reason we'd be happy to have more youtube content creators and articles writers. We've managed to prioritize the bounty content and that's why: - global platform means that language barriers should be eliminated - translation and translation review receive 30%
- content creation is the only way to spread the word around - youtube and articles receive more, another 30%
We believe that there are quite a lot of valuable projects out there with great approach, platform and idea/vision. Each one of them has it is own mission and purposes. The bounty program is another way to get more people engaged with your project and that's why every team knows what's the most important thing for the idea to succeed. And what works for us might not work for others and the other way around. We are going to have a token sale in H2 and we'll keep in mind your feedback! Best, Teddy

But it looks like very valuable and important recognition. @TerrorFromTheDeep, thank you for the good words! "Best Doctoral Candidate of the Year" it is the highest recognition a young researcher could get for his contribution in Bulgaria. We was honoured among other very knowledgeable young people with the project Open Source University. It was given by the Minister of Education and Science as a recognition to Hristian's dedication to develop and improve the education system on a global level since 2015. We are going to present more and more people from the team and the advisory team as well. In the meantime you could read about Prof. Kevin Dowd - Prof. Dowd's main subject of research is private money and free banking—monetary and financial systems that operate without any government intervention and in the absence of any central bank. A related focus of his work is on central banking and other forms of state intervention into economies - he has repeatedly called for the abolition of central banks and an end to state intervention in the financial system. Or have a look at our Team section: https://os.university/team/ Regards, Teddy
