Frankly it's not the best time to invest, but take a look at verge, zen and cnd projects. But you ought to make your own research about these projects before you will invest your money.

If these 100$ are a regular dinner out worth for you and you don't plan to invest any other money in crypto, then I would invest in some undervalued project with 1000x potential.
If you are from a third world country and 100$ actually mean something for you, then the answer is not that simple.

$100 is very small capital to invest as even if you make some profits from it you will not feel it but you can go with cheap altcoins and wait for the price to pump but you cannot expect huge profits from it and to make higher profits you should be ready with bigger capital.

To say that bitcoin is cheap when it is at its all time high is slightly inappropriate. It may rise forever, or it mat crash tomorrow. But don't call it cheap, because it is not.

worth trying, I never tried it. there are some things that make me afraid to invest.
How about ICO SCAM and still many considerations so I am not sure to join.

Well 100$ I would advise you to go for an altcoin like Lisk or Waves where you can easily make benefits.
Or you can try to get a good bonus on an ICO with a good project and team.

I think that investing and holding Bitcoin would be your best choice right now as Bitcoin is showing tremendous amount of growth right now and looking at the current trends, even higher value of Bitcoin can be expected in coming years. Bitcoin has alot of potential and you can expect the price of Bitcoin to cross 15000$ mark by end of 2018 for sure.
Investing in any altcoin would not be able to earn as high returns as Bitcoin because Bitcoin is the most popular and most valuable crypto.

The best thing to do is invest into a good alt like IOTA and just start trading it every few days on the swings. If it flys up while you're in usd, move onto another coin with the same process. When you get enough money, you can just hodl in coins and not trade as much.

I think there are still some ways to not risk all your funds to trade staying on bitcoin trading is a good starting point and i think you can make profit staying trading with bitcoin to usd or usd to bitcoin..
If you learn and you know how trading works you can start investing in other altcoin and always check the coinmarketcap to choose what are the best altcoin to hold for a long time and short time..
