If somehow all cryptocurrencies vanished OR went out of business, how will that effect BTC other than raising its value and demand?

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Bitcoin is the pioneer in crypto currencies.Only the altcoins are in need of bitcoin and not bitcoin.Bitcoin would continue to survive. Those who now buy and trade altcoins would have no other option than buying and trading in bitcoin.Bitcoin demand would increase and hence its price. If there are no altcoins, then there is no room for diversification of investment and so all would have to invest only in bitcoin.

Can't say its sort of possible in today's date because vanishing all crypto would mean that we are back from where we started in blockchain. Altcoins(atleast some of them) have brought quite new innovative solutions in blochain technology which is a reason why people have some increased confidence over cryptos so cant say bitcoin would survive quite well without cryptos.
