Admit it, sometimes you just get hit of depressive curiosity...

So, here it is.

Are we biologically hardwired to assume that from birth, we have to prove our importance, our relevance?
We have this drive for success(I like to call it "Love"), we are just addicted right from the start that we need to have an impact to society, to your parents, or sometimes just for ourselves, but then again, why do we feel that we are much more important than everything else? Why do we care so much about it?

And then, why is it that philosophers, after countless sleepless nights of studying and wondering ends up taking their own life, is that the peak of the summit? that after you achieved your definition of success, it is then "okay" to die?

Isn't the end game of life is to just die?

Then, what's wrong in taking you own life now?
You're important to who or what exactly?

We are always and forever would be relevant. It is not an issue of when we think we are at its weakest and the truth is as people and humans, we should always find ourselves releavnt and not just each other but also other people as well into this world

In a human's perspective I agree that we are relevant, I mean we HAVE to think we are relevant else humanity will meet its end.
For a specie to survive we have to be relevant, our valuation of our self decides if we'll choose to continue to live, hence survival.
But the question was, are we REALLY as relevant as the way we think we are? in a much more broader perspective, it doesn't have to be a godly being's perspective, let's say, to a fish, we are or we may not be relevant to them, to them all we do is basically means nothing, because in their perspective, the right thing to do is, swim, eat, mate, and reproduce. Which resembles how we humans are, if all the humanly things are removed,
dreams, jobs, politics, technology or what ever, basically what we are doing in a much more simplified perspective is wake up, eat, sex, reproduce, which is the same as any specie.
So then again, are all progress and things humans made doesn't mean much? are all just as irrelevant?
When all that matters is the survival of a specie?

Its because we human wants to be appreciated, we wanted others to acknowledge our importance our value, it's natural for us to feel this way...this prove that no man lives for themselves alone and when that longing meet we feel the sense of belonginess and fulfillment a sense of value no matter who and what we are.

In humans perspective we are relevant. As I say, We are always relevant. Everyone of us wants to be appreciated because we want to acknowledge our value and importance to others. What we do to other, we want to be appreciated to it.

The relevance of something is determined on how you look at it. It is opinion based and should not be controlled by anyone. We care so much about how we are relevant becaue we are made to believe that we all have a purpose in life that we should find in order to be happy. If what we're actually looking for is happiness then death might be a philosopher's happiness since they end up taking their own lives. In short the sense of relevance is something you get when you feel fulfilled or accomplished because you're happy about what you currently have.

You're important to who or what exactly?

I think it a philosopher once said: ''There is but one, true philosophical question and that is whether or not to commit suicide''

I honestly don't exactly agree with what he said but I get the point.

Biologically you're hardwired for a lot of things, survival (reason you can't jump that building) reproduction that is where a lot of people get stuck in miserable ''love'' affairs and marriages, its just a chemical.. get over it! Well more survival tactics such as trying to fit in, complying to dominant figures...

Nothing wrong with it in my opinion but it is rather selfish. Your suicide still affects many people and they're left to deal with that for the rest of their lives.
Btw, maybe you shouldn't look so much to others and more to yourself. Saying there needs to be an external dependency to not commit suicide is rather stupid.

And yes you are biologically hardwired for certain things and you are also conditioned by your relatives, friends, society, government, textbooks, commercials, corporations and much much more. Doesn't mean that you can't overcome these hardwires and conditionings, the mind controls the body and everything within must come out.

Really your brain is a computer, sure you've heard this before but assuming that it works just like a computer you could basically ''program'' it any way you like. You really get to a more eastern philosophy here though where religions/convictions such as buddhism, janïsm and toaism prevail, devoting life to study, discipline and meditation.

We are relevant just the way we think we are.. Believe you are important and has purpose in this life...you may feel insignificant at time but you are.. What you do impact other if it's done in love and sincerity... Your worth does not depend on what other think you are.

Ok. We're not as relevant as we think in the first place. We and everything we are are small specks that would be forgotten after everything goes. Long after we're gone,  the mountains would still stand tall, the seas would still rage and the nature will always still be as it is. That goes to show how irrelevant we are and we just have to make thr most of the little time we have here. We only have a limited time to make a very small mark so why take your own life?

Being relevant entails engaging in acts and things that are of importance, it requires commitment and consistency. When one is relevant to himself/herself, he/she would also be relevant to the society. Being relevant requires possessing the right character/attitude.
Most humans are definitely not as relevant as they think they are.

Many people think they are not relevant, they choose to think they are victims by their birth. I believe it's much worse. We are all relevant and came here with our own missions

Rhat goes two ways. Pride can make us believe that our relevance is greater than others. Despair makes us think we're not relevant at all. We should look at it from a humble perspective. We are relevant in our own way though we also have responsibilities to others.

The point is that we are completely irrelevant from every point of view except for the roles we have in our families. So we have to find a way to make a sense in this ocean of irrelevance.

You're important to who or what exactly?
The meaning of life in life itself. The fact that we can experience different emotions, realize ourselves, our feelings and thoughts is a unique gift. There is no secret and there is no "meaning of life". A person can not simply answer the question: for whom or for what purpose does he live. If I asked myself this question every day, the answers are always different. People do not have time to enjoy life, because they are looking for some amorphous goal of life. These searches lead to anxiety, stress and depression. But the good news is that even these difficult searches are also part of life. We just need to learn how enjoy it.
