Personally I would go for BTC.com wallet. Very easy to use and has a very elegant interface. And it supports both Bitcoin and Bitcoin cash.

If you don't want to download all blockchain you can use Electrum wallet for Bcash.

Wallet.btc is the only wallet I know of bitcoin cash. I heard that it is also a safe wallet.

Currently online wallets are very popular, I usually use online wallets such as blockchain and coisebase. You can also use hard wallets to store outside. Keep your private key carefully.

There is no safer wallet for any crypto coin other than private keys, For bitcoin cash the best wallet is the same bitcoin addresses starting with 1 and blockchain.info also supports them. You should visit bitcoincash.org to see that ledgerwallet.com among dozens of other wallets support this abomination of crypto price dropped from $3000 down to $1200. People got scammed.

I've also used that wallet to claim my airdrop but I need to wait for a few weeks before I claim my share, there's a lot of report of scam or bogus wallet and electrumcash is a good wallet to extract bitcoincash it's safe and trusted now.

I think Btc.com also have dedicated web wallet for bitcoin cash you can use them or you can simply use paper wallet generated through bitaddress for storing your bitcoin cash as both bitcoin and bitcoin cash have same bitcoin address to private key pair.

Electroncash is forked version of electrum so it can be used for hot wallet, I am using this one.

why not use the exchange wallet instead its more secure than desktop wallet i prefer it more rather than desktop wallet because when your account got login in other location they ask for a code or something you can even use 2fa if you do not feel comfortable with email security.

If I prefer to use online wallet like Myetherwallet, for security is also pretty good because there are private key and JSON file that is useful to open our wallet. If you are not interested, at least use the online wallet that is security level is very good and has been tested.

There are many type of exchange wallet support bitcoin cash (BCH). There are bittrex, poloniex,hitbtc. I also support bittrex. You can Bitcoin Cash on Bittrex and stock there. Good wallet. Good security.
