Basically you have to follow the hot trends which are identifiable in terms of tags. It ensures that your post is visible to a max audience who take interest. This, in turn, increases sharing, commenting, viewership and voting for your post. This is how you earn money there.

Now I've seen a lot of people who know far better about tags than anyone else. But the thing is, they can't write an engaging content. Flooding up an article with keywords just to get ranking, will certainly get you there but you won't earn for long since the audience would never appreciate if your language is not human friendly.

Cutting the long story short, add as much value for your audience as possible. Know what they're looking for. Determine the tone they seek, etc.

Buddy, I think its a combination of youtube and facebook. Even I don't have much idea about this . I have read about it somewhere in this forum that it pays for posting, liking etc. It also allows blogging I think. Anyways going to register and see what is it. If by combination of YouTube and Facebook,  you are trying to say it can do what both can do, then you are right. However, steemit can even do more! It is mainly about article posting anyway which the platform is based on blockchain technology. Usually, unless you want to steem up fully on your posts, you earn steem dollar on your post upvotes which is tagged directly to USD. Although, converting to steem really is a good option which can make you earn more as steem value increases.

It is just like a social media platform plus blogging, you will earn steem by just posting, liking and commenting but users need to interact on your post/comment to earn money like doing upvote. The best thing about this is you can use any niche not just about crypto-currency, you can share your knowledge about everything, life, photography, gaming and etc.

1. Good writing skills to engage audience and incorporate keywords

Those are quality posts and has been valuable to the community and this is what the OP is about to offer here.

I went there but you have to think of some interesting topics that can catch the attention of the users there and if you get no upvote = no profit.

It's hard to earn there but if you started earning with valuable topics there, you'll get addicted.

Hi can you confirm it, but I never spent time on Steemit as last 2 weeks back joined it. I heard here similar to this thread make bunch of money using Steemit, but obviously why do they pay members for blogging?

Steem is just like a POS system, more Steem power is = more earning, though in POS the code decides the interest rate for you, in Steem people decide whether to give you up-vote or ignore you. letting people to decide who would get more money, is like when a government official hires his own friends and family members, but in governments you could at least complain to a higher power, in Steem which runs on a decentralized blockchain, there is no authority to maintain a just network, you just need to buy more Steem power if you want to have a voice.
If I could become a DT member in this forum, I could also earn enough money to worth my while spending time and effort on Steem.

Been developing crypto sites for quite some time now plus I write a lot of content. No time to do a survey, find keywords and then write for myself.
