You probably need to press "bitstamp" link there and dont take serious "mtgox" link anymore.

well as far as I've heard, bitstamp has problems of it's own. I mean I know that it would be good to have several strong exchanges, bitstamp still has ways to go in stability.

It's called King Dollar for a reason.  Bitcoin, isn't even a currency.

Have you looked at the market depth on bitstamp? Face it mtgox is the only bitcoin exchange that can be taken seriously, and when people can't cash out on mtgox they start dumping on bitstamp but the market depth there can't absorb that many coins well.

You think the "printed" money is free?  Here in reality, it is loaned to the government, which must pay it back, plus interest.  Yes, this can create short term inflation, but if you think it is long term inflationary, think again.

I have noticed an inverse relationship with the stock market and Bitcoins. I think people are holding on to it like USD. Perhaps a new safe haven? Or a bubble ready to burst?

Not that I am against the OP's position but I think it is silly to draw arrows on a graph in the direction you want it to go....almost like you need to convince yourself.

It's really quite nice that BTC has stock markets that aren't completely dependent on FED press conferences

Yes that is nice, isn't it...

Funny how "mature" markets can seem so immature at times.
