And put up a buy at 4-8 fold under the current price.

BTC goes up and up from here you don't see that 5% jump.

BTC crashes as it likes to do, you seriously increase your position. Furthermore support is added at lower levels.

I live by the method of getting your original investment back and playing with the "banks" money. You can sleep easy if you do this.

BTC crashes as it likes to do, you seriously increase your position. Furthermore support is added at lower levels.

I wouldn't sell anything anymore... time to buy the dip was under $6000. Bitcoin seems to be holding pretty strong above $6000 now that the Bitcoin Cash spam attack is over. Mike Novoratz bought 20 million worth of BTC on this dip. Institutional money is coming with CME next month. It would be stupid to risk your position trying to scalp the price right now.

This is also my position. I'm willing to wait and see how much it would be worth by next year that I'd HODL. I tried selling during a peak before with the intention of buying back during a plunge but that didn't work out.

Probably wait for this now the best strategy. In fact, the destruction of bitcoin is not in the interests of all. Altcoins can not exist without bitcoin. The death of bitcoin will forever kill the entire faith in the cryptocurrency. I'm sure it was a power miners. Now need to wait for a demonstration of the power of developers. I hope that they come up with a cure against the attacks of the miners.

Yeah I read that article as well, selling now or in the next year is going to be a mistake, billions of dollars are coming to bitcoin, I’m not going to sell now trying to earn a few hundred dollars when I will be risking losing thousands of dollars, right now more than ever is the moment to hold, those traders could make a fortune if they time the market right but for people like me that are not very good at trading the best thing to do is to hold.

That would be a great since bitcoins gather more possible prospect since many huge business names are keep looking for the use of btc, But I don't think selling some 5% of our balance is bad since we still have 95% of holding eventhough we do an little crazy sale on our btc bankroll. But I'm still aiming to earn from short trades since I have some percentage of my balance are intended for this doings.

I belive that everything is not that easy as it seems to be. Selling bitcoin for USD somewhere at 7200$ looks like a small but easy profit just because BTC already was  below this point several times. In the worst case you will lose some of the BTC amount while holding your usd (it is still not that painfull). But as I already said I suspect that there must be some difficulties.
Also you will get at least some profit from your 5% only if you have a good amount of bitcoins.

It's not bad idea but it should be systematic and well planned, I see my failure at doing the selling 5% of my whole BTC, if i will not do it systematically and continuously, and you should do this when bitcoin's price is rising and not on the time when the price is playing see saw.

This is nice investments secret and you have to know how this works in order to maximize your profits. Buying and holding is good but you most sell little percentage of your earnings in others to buy cheap especially when price fell back ward again. I have days trade in forex before and I think this op view is good for cryptocurrencies investors. Last week alone that bitcoin fell bellow $6000 created a good opportunity to buy but since you don't have any risk capital you can not buying cheap.

I guess the price has risen to cross the 7k mark after a dump due to all that BCH crap news and thus I would be skeptical to sell at this point. Another dump may occur soon. I think I am happy to hold my coins for now and wait for bitcoin to rise beyond the 8k mark. I am keeping 5% for selling once it crosses that.

I live by the method of getting your original investment back and playing with the "banks" money. You can sleep easy if you do this.

I guess you mean to say that you are reinvesting the profit that you gain from selling bitcoin when prices have risen and you have sold? Well for some people even that will not give then proper sleep if you ask me.

I use 50% of my BTC allocation for other altcoins trading and other 50% for dump. This is my strategy.

Honestly a 5% is a good strategy but as a small investors like me 50% is likely be a normal thing. It was not intended to generalised most but it is what I’ve observed as prices up. As of this time bitcoin increases not as fast but gradually only shows not pumping of prices but slowly new investments is counted and coming that we can also connect to the increasing popularity of cryptocurrency.

Yeah. It hit an all-time high of $7998 a few hours ago. It would have been really tempting to sell at that price and then wait for a drop to spend that money. If anything though, it just showed how much higher btc can go.

It might not be a bad idea especially if you really need the money however I wouldn't sell off any of my coins unless I really need the money but if I still have some cash with me then the coins will just stay there because I'm also aiming for long term.

Same thing as yours, I live by that method, I admit that I it is a bit passive since this would likely result to any lose but I trhink this method is great and I also do that, as long as I get what I entered then I'll be fine and be active about this all through out since I am now more secured that I have not lose anything by doing this.

Selling your stash depends on the situation, now is not the time to sell, would rather wait for some more time, and maybe I'm looking forward to buy some more bitcoin but again it depends on the situation. I sold some of my bitcoin before the bitcoin gold fork when the price was a bit high and bought back again when there was a small dip, didn't benefit enough, so am planning not to sell anything at the moment.

Already sold @$7300 a few weeks ago and bought back @ $5500 a piece. Already enjoying my stack as of now and I think it would still perform well next month given that CME is already locked and more and more institutional investors are being tempted to invest and try the markets. It's lovely to play with bitcoin but you got to have all eyes and ears on the news before you make a move.

Fundamentals would really be crucial when you do make short trades on bitcoins price which you would really need to hear out news and possible upcoming events which would mainly affect bitcoins price. For now selling out 5% on my entire stash isnt bad at all and i did was selling almost 30% and buyback later on when the price would decrease again. All of my buy orders have been set out already.
