What is Bytether?
Bytether is an ERC20 token 1:1 cross-fork from Bitcoin to Ethereum. In short, who has X amount BTC is able to claim X amount BTH. There is only 21.000.000 BTH.

How to claim BTH if I keep my BTC on wallet?
You need to go through BTC ownership verification process. Instruction can be found here.

How to claim BTH if I keep my BTC on exchange?
Please check with your exchanges about BTH cross-fork support. If they do not support it, you need to transafer your bitcoin to your own wallet.

When will Bytether cross-fork from Bitcoin to Ethereum?
The cross-fork happened at block 478,558. Any person holding bitcoin at the time of the fork have access to an equal amount of BTH.

Is BTH exclusive for BTC holders?
We reserved 17.000.000 BTH for BTC holders, 1.000.000 for user growth pool and 2.000.000 for marketing the project, please prefer our referral program. Therefore BTH is for both BTC holders and non BTC Holders.

 Why we need Bytether?
Bytether is a cryptocurrency that leverages the best attributes of both Bitcoin and Ethereum. If Bitcoin is gold, then BTH is USD as BTH payment is a lot faster, with much lower cost, than Bitcoin. Apart from that, you can start to use BTH for online payment from Mar 2018.
