I've never tried mining on the phone but I think it's a futile idea. The phone can not afford to get a lot of coins and their price will probably be ridiculous.

Mining is only profitable with professional hardware and if you have access to cheap electricity. Many coins produce only a small profit and ETH will change to POS later.

Mining on android phone has not been accomplished very well, not very possible at the moment ,some projects tries but all in vain,o hope in the future many new projects might find solution for mining on phones, it will help a lot

Don't see any reason why it would change.  If powerful tech become available to everyone the profit margin would shrink to virtually nothing as everyone would be trying to get easy money.
