With all the drama around 2x now over and BCC seeming to take away some of the market from BTC, is BTC still king and still set to rise to $7k this year? Thoughts?

BCH is not taking over anything, Its just gaining momentum which is something that will be short lived because attention in this crypto world is not always permanent and for a coin like BCH that does not have the solid foundation in my own opinion to warrant such amount of increment in its price, when it falls, it will be difficult to come back higher but that does not mean it will fizzle away from the market.

I had my doubts on it making to 7K and look were we are now. XMas season will be interesting, I'm betting that it will get at least close to 8K.

It's possible, of course, but it's depending how the situation in the bitcoin community and on the market will develope. Recent few days we have seen not so pretty situation and all the mess about fork and all this influence the price. So, both, the pumps and dumps are possible, depending on the environment. And someones' interests, I would say.

No one predict it. But if I would take a guess it would be no. The long delay and high transaction prices are making people to look into alternatives. Unless BTC comes up for a solution for these it will be difficult. Its impossible to send small transactions these days.

bittrex hawkeye post a message that bitcoin is the time buy now and will hit 7500 within this month and will reach another milestones next month at 8.5 to 9k usd per btc .. and i believe him as he has 90% accuracy even on alt coins!

I hope pumps and dumps are already over after the fork failure, already it went upwards with a good rise percentage. So probably yes the $8000 target can get hit easily. But yes now if all things comes to normal without any further movements which can influence the market price of Bitcoin.

BTC always king i think & again increasing still now $6500+ and BTC easily reach 7000$ in this year.On the other hand BCH something joking with everyone i think.BCH behave like as bubble.I depend only BTC & it's my future dream.

Everything is possible but at this moment I don't think it will.
Bitcoin looks very unattractive for new people because the slow transactions with historically high fees.
At the moment a lot of people are substituting their Bitcoin for alternatives that work the same but don't have high transaction fees.
That's why BCH is doing good, this is also the reason that the transaction speed gets even worse, because a lot of the hash power goes to the BCH network.  If the delays are fixed, then it would be possible for Bitcoin to reach an all time high, as the demand is not gone but just for other coins right now.

I used to think bitcoin will surely reach 8000$ at the end of this year but soon after the cancellation of bitcoin, i finally realize bitcoin will not be able to reach 8000$ just in this year.

Yes! It might even hit $10k. A lot of people are already setting aside a sizable chunk of their Christmas bonus to invest in bitcoins. Law of demand and supply will push the price to another all-time high.

Yes still 1 and a half month to year end btc can easily rise upto $7000 but dont think it would be able to go up anywhere near $8000. But alas you just cant predict anything in the crypto market.

If you can see the trend through the years, bitcoin price is increasing with such dips along the way. We might be experiencing such decline of bitcoin price of its $7500-7800 mark from the previous weeks, but still the likelihood of achieving the $8k-mark this year is very high. Just my thoughts.
