Can Bitcoin still reach $8k this year?

I think it seems hard that bitcoin will reach 8000 dollars in this year. After the big rising, its price is now under 7000 dollars. Despite its volatility, in my opinion, it is a really low chance to reach $8000 for bitcoin.

bittrex hawkeye post a message that bitcoin is the time buy now and will hit 7500 within this month and will reach another milestones next month at 8.5 to 9k usd per btc .. and i believe him as he has 90% accuracy even on alt coins!

So Bittrex Hawkeye must a millionaire by now I suppose? Why do people trust someone I don't get it. One one can predict the market how the prices fluctuates and by how much it will.

I believe not because we've seen the recent price correction and it's been pretty stable lately and now people are withdrawing the support for SegWit2X and the support for it is currently at around 66%. So if by some case segwit2x fails there might not be that price jumping as there was with the first segwit and the price might just as well remain around 7k until the end of the year.

Unfortunately we can not predict whether or not this will happen. Thanks to in-depth market analysis we can only expect what's next. I think the exchange rate will continue to increase and until then it will fall from the 8000 limit.

In this year,i think that bitcoin will  be reach more than 8k and  for me if the users of bitcoin will be more popular and the  capitalists of bitcoin  do not sell a large proportion of their  btc , maybe the  bitcoin will reach over 10k in this period.

its possible to reach $8K. people will have more money before the year end and the rest of us are going to put their money into crypto just as how it did every year end. if i have to withdraw , i'd probably wait til December 25th to see how much it had grown. keeping btc would be the best thing to do.

As of now the price of bitcoin is already 6600 dollars and I think this week they have possibility the price become 7k dollars soon. Dont worry about the price it will reach that again. I think the possible price of bitcoin before end of this year 2017 is 10k dollars or if that happen maybe in the month of january 2018 for sure it will happen. I hope this is it more investor to come so price will increase more.

Drama, whether positive or negative, always associated while bitcoin is progressing so just be used to it. Look at all drama in the past and look after it and what happened to the status of bitcoin today. Just eye for long term instead of hoping that "this" or "that" might reached before end of the year. The most important thing here is "it will happen" no matter what.

You can directly blame the BCH side for spamming Bitcoin's network with nonsense transactions. It's nothing more than an effort to snoop off some noobs and make them hold their at some point to become worthless coins. Just wait for it, there will be a time that they will abandoned the BCH ship (when they dumped everything they had), and come up with another fork that will result in a guaranteed chain split -- that's where the big money is in. In the same way will BTG also end up sinking, and basically every cash grab chain split that follows. No one in his right mind will ever seriously support this nonsense.

Probably not, BCH has been able to hold around 1,2k which means some of BTC market cap went to BCH.

If something unexpected does not happen, I don`t believe we will see 8k this year.

I think we were seeing $8000 of bitcoin price this year. It takes time that bitcoin will reach at that price again and in a few days I have no doubt price will starting to rise. Well, ofcourse theres more to happen so still lets see.

Hard to know...seem price will stuck around 7K or worst below 5K if still can't solve network problem. There still 90K unconfirmed transactions till know.

Yes I agree that right now it's hard to determine where we stand right now. All those attacks really sting bitcoin and the community. But imho, we will still bounce back and those miners will get back to btc and start mining again. I'm not really sure what they have in their minds or how they banded up to get it done. It could be greed and/or show of power but nonetheless they cannot completely abandon btc. As I've checked earlier, btc is rising up again and I see hope that we can get back to 7K and maybe up to 8K anytime this year. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Right now it looks like Bitcoin is well on its way back to $8k, but if the network continues to be congested that could quickly reverse. I'm looking on fork.lol, the profitability of Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash aren't that far off from each other. If miners are going to prefer Bitcoin Cash, the Bitcoin network could have a problem.

In my view of point, i think it will hit the target of $7,000 for sure because still lot of days before this year end but strongly i disagree that it will reach the $8,000 speculation due to the excess days for $7k will become a few days for $8k. Pretty sure it will hit the mark more than that by next year because the speculated value is between $10,000 to $15,000 mark.

Today price of bitcoin is near 7k dollars and for sure the price will reach 8k dollars so if you have extra money in your wallet right now it's better if you invest your money to bitcoin and for sure it will increase . More bitcoin that you have more money to come with you.

Well we are near $7k at the moment, i can not speculate about it, but of course that we are so close to eight thousand dollars and we are so close to that price! i am really glad about it.
I thought that bitcoin was going to touch a new dip, but i see that it was wrong with that, i will try to dont make speculations anymore  .

bitcoin price now reach more than $67xx and I think we want to reach until $8k this year but the problem is we need to break $7000 barrier and $7500 and if we can break this then I am sure that $8000 will reach in this year. but if there is something happen in November 25, then I am not sure that we can break that price and maybe we need to waiting again. bitcoin itself have a big possibility to be increase more but we need to give our support to bitcoin so the price can move up to higher price.

Bitcoin could still reach 8000 this year, perhaps even higher than that. This will just happen when the people wake up from this BCH joke, though. The BCH pump caused the dump of Bitcoin so in order to regain what was lost, go back to Bitcoin. Soon enough things will go back to normal when the people harvested their profit from BCH's pump and go back to BTC.

Bitcoin price currently at $6800 so it will cross $7000 very soon and $8000 seems possible by the end of this year. Bitcoin is still #1 in the market and it will there for many years. BCH is a trash and it can never replace bitcoins no matter how hard they try. I do think that bitcoin price is about to rise very soon and if all goes well then we may see bitcoin price will reach $10,000 by the December end.
