Well that's no surprise considering he himself is an investor.

I'm not going to complain if Bitcoin truly does reach that value, but it seems rather arbitrary. Still, powerful people speaking out like this is in our best interests, as they may drive a couple of people to learn about Bitcoin and buy in. It's also possible that the only reason they speak out like this to draw attention to Bitcoin.

It is too high, but predictions like this get people's attention, so the price goes up, which is good for many of us. I would think BTC may reach $10,000 by the end of this year or early next year, which would get huge media attention if not already had. $10,000 milestone may convince many people to invest in it, but bitcoin also needs to solve many issues it has, and then with many use applications coming, probably $50,000 won't be too long (maybe in 3-4 years).

He can say whatever he wants. We've seen McAfee come out and say a similar thing with a prediction of bitcoin going over $500k by 2020. All of this in the end will not affect the actual markets, nobody really takes the seriously unless it's their close followers.

I personally think that bitcoin will eventually hit $400k due to natural fiat inflation.

But it's not going to if you are talking about the short term. Just no way that the price is going to rise 100 times like that in less than a decade.

The media tends to highlight extreme projections like $100K bitcoin or $1Mn bitcoin; or something which says Bitcoin is a fraud / bubble / collapse to zero. That is what gets them clicks and that is what they care about. Those who have invested also feel good with these projections and hence they get published more often.

But the fact that till then things would definitely change and many more obstacles and hindrances would come by then. So lets go step by step to achieve the decent price of btc.

25 years is a long, long time. Some of us might even be dead by that time. Unless you are planning for your retirement, or you are an institutional investor, you cannot look at a 25 year horizon. I am not saying that try to double your money in a year, but maybe you should look at  a 5-10 year period. If you Bitcoin will rise substantially in this period, go for it.

in the future when people start to recognize it wholly,
many people will speculate a lot of thing,and most of them will be like him in the future.
to be honest,i am really happy to see it that high.
but at the same time i am afraid if we're reach that point,do not you think it will be a bubble ?
at least for now if everything does not change and remain the same,Bitcoin price should not be that high.
because the current fee is too high,so we need to spend a lot of money just for 1 transaction.

But the swings will be bigger. Like swings of $2k when is $20k, from one day to the next. More noobs will be selling in panic and those exchanges will be buying from them to sell in futures contracts.

Those contracts are good for noobs as they dont have the balls to hold it themselves, so better for them to pay some intermediary for it.

When it comes to BTC everything is possible and that one day it's worth 400k$ is possible,the question is only in what time frame such a thing can be achieved.It's hard to say is this can happen in next 5,10 or 20 years maybe,but for most of us even 100k$ would be great price.If/when it reach 100k$ then it will be easier to predict such speculation,in my opinion the price of 400k$ is somewhat in the sphere of science fiction in time when BTC is never reach 10k$.
