Well it did but but went down again by 1.51%. Ethereum's price today as of this writing is $984.60. I think one reason is that Post-ICO startups are cashing out to reduce risk. These projects have costs. And, for now, those costs are in fiat currency. Another reason i am seeing is that new investors have come in — with shorter timeframes. More “professional” traders are thrilled with month/month returns that ETH and the others are yielding, so naturally they are going to take profits as well. They don’t have the HODL (Hold on For Dear Life) perspective that many of the O.G.’s (Original Gangsters) in the space have. This shakeout is inevitable and certainly it could not last and i am confident that ethereum will fly high again.

Ethereum will continue to rise slowly, it is a stable and safe investment but other similar projects are going to compete in 2018. NEO of course is the main competitor but also LISK will join the DAPPS market next month.

This has been done and now Etherum is rising very aggressively although the whole market is going down. The current value of the Etherum on coinmarketcap is now more than $ 1300, which is really a terrible number that Etherum has achieved this year. I think Etherum has a reason for such growth and it will not stop.

Ethereum current price is $1193 (Already crossed $1000) and it is expected to reach at least $5000 within this year. The market cap, volume, circulating supply and the confident most people kept on this altcoin would deserve the growth. As per my research $5000 may be reached in June and more than that is expected in December.

Off course it is possible but I think it will move so much fast, by the end of the 2018 3k$ is possible. Now it is in completely uptrend with high volumes in the market. But the price will drop 1000$ and it will consolidate for 2 or 3 month and then again it will start increasing it's price.
