already hit 1400$ at the top, but now the price is around 90$ very down because the market coindition.
maybe in 1 or 2 years the market conditions will improve again, no one really knows.
we have seen the highest increase at the end of 2017 and now is the most severe decline.

some opinion says ethereum now has stronger competitor with better technology in continent and community where cryptocurrency is much appreciated. They believe the community and tech advantage is able to pull the price up. however, I consider the existing token on the platform already that have healthy trade in the market and the ethereum decentralized , they are capable of keeping the token sustainable for a longer time.

There is a great probability that ETH will gain a lot after its fork. The Ethereum team said that it can happen close to January 14-19th, 2019. probably, after this event, the altcoin price will grow but it can reach $1000 later.

In that months there will be a bull run in the crypto market so in that time when there will also be the fork in ethereum which will give a high rise to ethereum. I hope that in that month the price of ethereum will reach to $2000.

Not this month. Ethereum depends on Bitcoin. Bitcoin needs to reach $16000 or more for ETH to hit $1000. Maybe we need to wait for next year or more years.

Answer of your question in the title is yes, it is not hard reach to 1000 dollar for ethereum we saw it reached to 1500 easily in few months, but for second question I have no answer because we can't know when this will be.

for now I think I will not reach a big increase. precisely a few days ethereum has continued to decline. hopefully this will be the base of ethereum and not fall deeper. and at the beginning of the year hopefully there will be an upward movement, even though at least the market can move up.

It will be an impossible task for Ethereum in the nearest 6-9 months. The altcoin has lost really too much to recover so fast. I am waiting for its growth, sure, but not earlier than next summer.

Probably 2020 or so but at this rate i really dont see anytime soon written anywhere I mean basically the market is just way down and things are beginning to improve a little which actually is a good thing
