Hello all,

I just received a nice shipment from BFL earlier today.

Good start to the weekend:

Any clues on getting the other 3 to hit 8Gh/s? Or is this what BFL meant when they had varying chip degrees?

Congratulations... I hope to receive my Jalapeño still in this decade...  Cry

Regarding hash rate, You bought 7 GH/s, not 8 GH/s...  Grin

but interestingly, the one that gives you 8 GH/s is the one with lower temperature...  Roll Eyes

Theyre actually cooler because of the placement in my room. Avg temps is 42C with ambient being 25C. Trying the fridge method because I have heard of such things. I am worried to take the case off, I presume the screws are under the rubber feet? Has anyone noticed a hashrate increase by taking the case off? Thanks for the help. To those of you waiting with 2012 orders, you're almost there. 2013 orders, good luck is all I have to say.

I run mine caseless/fan blowing down and had a 10 C drop. 30 C now. didnt mine any faster though.

the best way to increase the hash rate is to flash it. AND keep it cool of course.

I saw the thread on flashing the firmware, is there any step by step instruction to doing it so you don't brick it? I know it requires this: http://store.atmel.com/PartDetail.aspx?q=p:10500053#tc:supnote

you need atmel studio 6.1 and a jtag cable. an old cut down 40 conductor IDE cable should work, I cut one down today but didnt test fit it yet. plus the source code from bfl of course.

when I get my dragon in a few days Ill post a quick howto.

at some point Im sure someone will find a cheaper programmer, but till then the dragon is the cheapest one that will guaranteed work.

That would be awesome if you could! I'm sure people would reward you with some btc if you can ramp these guys up without bricking them.
