What in the world, where did you find this old post?   GPU setups went the way of the Dodo for Bitcoin mining.  Now for Alternative coins it's fine but you get a totally different hash rate.

its around 900 with those cards AMD 7970 getting 4x for my rig ^^
anyways problem sorted.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

7970 or 280X are the best cards for altcurrencies.

For MH/$ yes, but MH/W is ruled by the 7950.
