Hi All.

Ive had nothing but issues with the avalon so far since i ordered 5 of them

Firstly they took months to get here, when they arrived i couldnt work out why my settings wouldnt save when i change the IP on the web portal, for anyone having a similar issue you need to buy a new SD card then flash it.

Now i have a fully operation OS but i cant find a way to get the miners to talk to the controller, ive tried the following

My setup is 2 PSU powering 1 miner, Corsair hx850 (paperclip short to supply power)
Avalon 741 x 5
Avalon Controller PI 3 model b version

Tried using WIFI and LAN to connect to internet which seems ot work as i get the output below.

all 5 miners daisy chined
1 miner only
another miner only
different USB
different power supply
different AUC3 converter
reflash sd card 3 times
tried mining to splashpool, ant and the default ones that come preloaded

No matter what i do i cant get any of my miner to show under Avalon devices and start mining, has to be something simple im missing but ive never done it before adn dont know what it is.

I would be greatful for assistance

Which color shows the AUC3 controller? Has to be green. Check your inet connection at the tab "network" i mean there is a button "ping url".

Post in the Official Avalon thread fer chrissake.. Canaan monitors it plus that is where most Avalon users hang out. Ya know, rather makes it a very good place to get quick answers?

Not to mention ja might not even have to sit around waiting for answers because odds are - already in the existing thread if folks would bother to skim through it...

I know you tried with 2 AUC3s, but did you try with all of them you have (should be 5 with 5 miners)?

Another user had an issue where the AUC3 firmware didn't come flashed on several of their units.

My apologies for posting in the wrong sub forum, i didn't know avalon had a monitored section, i found this site on google after my research trying many times to fix as a last resort and ive tried all the suggestions I listed based on my research on various forums before posting, again sorry if im doubling up but i have spent hours trying vairous fixes and feel a direct response is now my best chance of getting this fixed.

I already email support and was waiting on a reply whilst i wrote my thread.

This morning i tried the other 3 ACU and the same issue, i did read somewhere this could be my power supply, all of them are the same, does anyone use 2 power supply to power one miner successfully?

When you tried the ethernet did you disable the wifi?  cant have them compete.  Did you try booting the controller without he hdmi attached, assume you have on local network to view, not only a monitor via hdmi.  Shoot us an email info@blokforge.com, can try to trouble shoot for you even if you didnt purchase from us.

What is the color of your AUC3? Did your miner mine or idle the whole time? upload your CGminer status. I had the same problem with current batch. Tried everything, i ended up send back the AUC3. waiting for them to send me the new one now.

Just wondering have you tried the advice of trying all 5 of your auc converters? With any luck atleast 1 of the 5 should be good.

Also what are you using to power your rasp pi? There have been some issues with people not using something providing more than 2amp (I think that is the min) the more the better especially if you are chaining multiple miners.

Another small thing is are you using the left as input and right for output for the cable from aux converter  to miner.

Also create a support ticket with Canaan and be sure to document all your troubleshooting.

Good luck

Hi i have tried all 5, im using a 2amp 5v power supply, no other USBs connected to it to make sure there is ample power and connected to 1 miner, i will cahin the others back up once i get 1 working. im using the slot on the right hand side if you were looking at the black fan, but i have also tested the left one for a short period

Thanks

Sorry just noticed that you said you had tried all the auc3 converters. Have you tried all of the cables from the converter to the miner? Maybe the first in the chain was messed up.

Also not that it should make a difference just try adding in a pool again yourself, whichever one you are planning on using, and fire it up again.

Other than that where are you located maybe someone nearby can send you a working auc converter to test, or do you know any miners?

Did you already create your Canaan ticket? The sooner the better

When you flashed your ad card are you sure it was the right version. I don't k ow much about this aspect but my version says 20170603. I'm not sure what the difference would be except the date

That's unfortunate from the posts lately if you try all that and it gets you nowhere you just have to wait on the support to send you a new one.

I'm in Canada so I can't help you out. With a working spare
