Why is LTC needs to be more valuable if is listed to GOX. LTC is already the no. 1 alt-currency, is listed on all the majot exchanges, if someone will want to exchange LTC for USD or EURO si very easy without GOX. The development team of LTC is again active and the fixing of the fees is a big improvement and a more important reason for LTC to rise in value, than the listing on GOX. And, as other have pointed out, if the bitcoin and litecoin will be accepted by the porn industry, the they will risevin value. Not all the porn is free. The current porn payment processor is a jackass, denying payments without reasons,because they are the only ones that accept payments for porn. The pron industry have made the difference in video standard and in the HD standard, and I think it will make the difference in the crypto coins. If you think that porn is free, remember this: the gals and guys from porn don't fuck for free  |

An average person won't know what BTC-e or Vircurex is, but MtGox has been all over the news. |

If you do know it exists, you are going to be buying it on BTC-e or where ever, but very many people don't trust that site because its not American - damn racist, I know, but that is life! Anyway, once they see it on MTGox, they will start to buy it, because they trust it Simple! |

Mtgox is big enough to help LTCoth in short and long term. Some shit exchange adding coin means nothing but even BTC-e adding one means lot, what do you think when CNC would disappear on exchanges without BTC-e.. and MtGox is far bigger than LTC.
I agree that some of the bigger players are already in LTC if they wanted t o do it but many small players make a big one. And MtGox is big enough to bring more buyers to LTC.
Not sure how BTC will be affected with it but it will help LTC for sure. And bigger loser will be BTC-E, they'll lose lot of money from LTC transaction fees.

Chance that LTC will be added to Gox is not 100% I think it is after yesterdays announcement. They did it both on FB and Twitter. It's just matter of timing, I wouldn't bet my house it's gonna be in July as they said though it might but after thatannouncement it's pretty close to 100%. |

Someone who can think, finaly. MTGox has a very big user base, far bigger than this forum, and a large number of those people who are willing to spend $1000s on bitcoin, don't know that litecoin exists.
Mindless stupid fuck, people who are willing to spend or already spent even much less than $1000 on bitcoins already know about this forum and all other cryptocoins. They already know about other exchanges as well. MtGox has over 600,000 customers.

BINGO and thats it right there. I like BTCe but honestly alot of sites like that and troll boxes scare people or they cant take it seriously because all they see is fud and RISE Chicken Rise. Gox has the user base to take it to the next level. I also see OHHH wait for the dumps. Yes there will be some but the user base buying will be so much larger. The bog players on BTCe may suddenly see themselves as small fish. |

Well you see...there's this thing called supply and demand. I dunno if you've ever heard of it... Gox (according to them) has at least 4 times the number of users that any other coin exchange has. So no, it is not listed on all the "majot" exchanges. |

Agreed. It's so much more than just increased demand. Litecoin going on mtgox paves the way for a legitimate payment processor to be built which will lead to a flood of new businesses accepting LTC (basically a chunk of the businesses that already accept Bitcoin). Then there is the increased media exposure and attention Litecoin will receive. That in itself will cause a long term boost as Litecoin will get mentioned more and more alongside Bitcoin in the future. In fact the media will spin it into a Bitcoin vs Litecoin war, because they love stories like that. This is all very good for Litecoin. We are going to see Litecoin go through exactly the same steps Bitcoin did. And in the process the Bitcoin price will tank and the Litecoin price will go up. |

Exactly. This is a major point, if not the most important. If LTC is exchanged at MtGox it is guaranteed that, for instance a bar owner, can easily exchange LTC into $ or € for buying goods which are not acquirable with LTC or BTC. This obviously creates a much bigger trust into LTC provided you can trust the exchange. |
